PSAC Women's Volleyball Athlete of the Week - 8
Lock Haven, Pa: Outside Hitters, Haley Gribler and Joanna Nist continue to dominate with top performances and are this week’s PSAC Athletes of the Week. Gribler posted big numbers for the Lady Eagles after a 6-0 perfect week and extended their winning streak to 16 matches. Nist recorded her 14th kill/dig double-double of the season and helps California remain undefeated with a 13-0 record in the PSAC West.

Haley Gribler of Lock Haven put on a tremendous performance last week and helped the Lady Eagles to a 6-0 week. The outside hitter played four of the six matches and tallied 59 kills, a .451 hitting percentage, 51 digs, 11 aces and six blocks. On the week she averaged 15 kills per match and 4.21 kills per set. In the 3-1 win over Queen’s College, she had her top performance with a red-hot .600 attacking percentage and 22 kills. She later totaled 17 kills in the 3-1 victory Alderson-Broaddus.

Joanna Nist

Veteran Joanna Nist recorded her 14th kill/dig double-double of the season and led the Vulcans to a 2-0 week. Her team-high 5.29 kills per set and 4.29 digs per set dominated the competition as California posted wins over IUP and Mercyhurst in PSAC West action. At IUP she registered 20 kills, 13 digs and three service aces in the 3-0 victory. Later in the week against Mercyhurst, Nist posted a double-double performance (17 kills, 17 digs) which helped the Vulcan edge Mercyhurst in four sets, 3-1.
