Lock Haven, Pa. - Amanda Riley of Bloomsburg is this week’s PSAC East Player of the Week for the third straight week after her efforts helped Bloomsburg to two wins to wrap up the regular season and enter this weekend’s PSAC Tournament on a 14-game winning streak. Mercyhurst’s Emily Warren is the PSAC West Player of the Week for the second time this year after helping lead Mercyhurst to a win in its final divisional game of the year, which clinched the first-ever PSAC Tournament berth for the Lakers.

Riley makes it three straight weeks as the PSAC East Player of the Week after her efforts helped the Huskies to wins over Millersville and Mercyhurst to finish the regular season with a 17-1 record and on a current 14-game winning streak. She scored a goal in a 4-0 win at Millersville last Thursday and then scored one more goal in a 3-0 win at Mercyhurst on Sunday.
PSAC West Player of the Week

Warren had a stick in all three of Mercyhurst’s goals in last Wednesday’s 3-1 win over Slippery Rock that clinched a spot in the PSAC Tournament for the first time ever for the Lakers. Warren scored two goals and assisted on the other in the win. She assisted on the first goal of the game by Sara Wowkowych in the sixth minute of the game and then, after Slippery Rock had tied it at 1-1, scored the eventual game-winner at the 26:42 mark unassisted. She added an insurance goal for the Lakers in the 62nd minute. This is Warren’s second weekly award of the season.
