Shippensburg's NEELY SPENCE added another outstanding performance to her already stellar career by winning last Friday's Paul Short Invitational.

Spence outraced a field of 363 runners, most of whom compete on the Division I level, in winning the Paul Short Invitational hosted by Lehigh University.  Her time of 19:58 was two seconds ahead of Lindsay Carson of Guelph and nearly matched her time of 19:57 of a year ago.  Last year's effort is the fastest recorded by a Division II athlete at the event.  Spence finished 1:02 ahead of teammate Mary Dell, who placed 24th overall, and was the next highest Division II runner.
