Women's Volleyball PSAC Athlete of the Week - 6

 Lock Haven, Pa: Jessica Bodkin and Haley Gribler are this week’s PSAC Athletes of the Week, having top performances in both of their team’s victories over the weekend. Gribler helped the Lady Eagles extend their winning streak to six matches, while Bodkins posted 51 kills and 11 blocks in the last three matches for IUP.


Western Division
Jessica Bodkin-Indiana
Junior/Outside Hitter
Newport Beach, California/ Newport Harbor

Jessica Bodkin of IUP is this week’s PSAC Athlete of the Week after posting 51 kills (averaging 3.92 per set) on the week and leading her team to 2-1 week. She posted 37 digs (2.88 per set), 5 aces (0.38 per set) and had 11 total blocks (0.85 per set). In IUP’s 3-2 win over Alderson Broaddus, Bodkin knocked down 16 kills, 22 digs and added two blocks. Against Slippery Rock, the junior totaled 13 kills, 13 digs and four blocks to assure the 3-1 win.

Haley Gribler of Lock Haven is this week’s PSAC Athlete of the Week due to her efforts this weekend leading the Lady Eagles to a 3-0 week. In her two games played, she recorded a team high of 23 kills (3.8 per set) and hit a solid .327. In the 3-0 victory against Shippensburg, Gribler posted a team high 14 kills and 14 digs. In the following match against Millersville, she had another solid outgoing hitting an impressive .421. Between the two matches she added 26 digs, three aces and two blocks.
