PSAC Wrestling Co-Athletes of the Week - 1
Lock Haven, Pa: Reigning 165lb Division II National Champion Josh Shields and defending 165lb Division I National Champion Jarrod King are this week’s PSAC Co-Athletes of the Week. Shields placed first in his first two appearances at the Buffalo Open and the National Catholic Invitation. King who was earlier named EWL Wrestler of the Week captured first place at the Eastern Michigan University Open and the Brockport/Oklahoma Gold Showcase.

Josh Shields, the reigning 165-lb Division II National Champion posted a 7-0 record to start the 2009-2010 season. He collected two tournament titles in his first two appearances at the National Catholic Invitational and at the Buffalo Open. At the National Catholic Invitational he went 3-0 with a tech fall, a 9-0 major decision and a fall over Kevin Hardy of Notre Dame at the 2:47 mark. He then collected four more wins at the Buffalo Open, and recorded a 10-2 major decision and a fall over Jarrod Shaw of West Liberty.

Defending 165 –lb Division I National Champion Jarrod King picked up two first place finishes and was recently named EWL Wrestler of the Week. King started the 2009-2010 season with a 7-0 record and captured titles at the EMU Open and the Brockport/Oklahoma Gold Showcase. At the Brockport/ Oklahoma Gold Showcase he recorded two major decisions and an 8-5 decision over No. 8 ranked Colt Sponseller of Ohio State in the final. At the EMU Open he collected two tech falls and a 12-2 major decision over Michigan’s Aaron Hynes.
