PSAC Lacrosse Athletes of the Week - 2

Bloomsburg’s KELSEY QUIGLEY and Mercyhurst’s JESSIE HORETH have been named this week’s PSAC East and West Athletes of the Week. Both led their respective teams to two wins apiece last week, scoring a combined 13 goals and recording a combined seven assists.


PSAC East Player of the Week
Kelsey Quigley, Bloomsburg
Senior, Attacker
Lansdale, Pa./Methacton

Quigley helped lead Bloomsburg to a pair of victories last week by recording six goals and one assist in wins over Millersville and Philadelphia. She also picked up three ground balls for the week and caused a turnover. Against Millersville, she scored three goals on just four shots and picked up a ground ball in a narrow 13-10 win over the Marauders. Then, in a 23-2 win over Philadelphia, she scored three more goals on just five shots and recorded an assist and three ground balls.


PSAC West Player of the Week
Jessie Horeth, Mercyhurst
Senior, Midfielder
Webster, N.Y./Webster Schroeder

Horeth recorded a total of seven goals and six assists as well as three ground balls, four draw controls and one caused turnover in Mercyhurst’s two wins last week to open the season. In a narrow 12-11 victory over crosstown rival Gannon, she scored one goal and assisted on three others, including the game-winner, while also recording two ground balls, winning two draw controls and causing one turnover. She then scored six goals, including the game-winner, and recorded three assists to go along with two draw controls and a ground ball in a 20-9 win over Queens.
