PSAC Outdoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week - 6
Men’s Track:
Christopher Clark - California

Graduate student Chris Clark turned in another great performance this past week at the Penn Relays to earn him his second track athlete of the week honor in as many weeks. Clark finished the 5,000-meter run with a second place time of 13:58.51, just narrowly missing out on a first place finish by three tenths of a second. Clark’s time is a NCAA automatic qualifying time and is the fastest time ran in the PSAC this season. His time also ranks as the eighth fastest time in Division II this year.
Women’s Track:
Priscilla Jennings – Millersville
Senior
Quarryville (Solanco)
Jennings had a spectacular run turning in the best 5,000-meter time of any Division II runner this season on Friday at the Penn Relays. The senior posted a mark of 16:29.05, which crushed both the Division II automatic qualifying time by almost 36 seconds, and the Millersville school record by 25 seconds. The time was also the best mark recorded in the PSAC this year by more than nine seconds. Jennings finished sixth in the Division-I laden field, and first out of all Division II participants.
Men’s Field:
Mike Gray - Mansfield
Junior
Horseheads, N.Y. (Horseheads)
Junior Mike Gray turned in two solid performances this weekend in both the shot put and discus at the Big Red Invitational held at Cornell University. Gray won the shot put with a NCAA provisional qualifying mark of 53’5.75”. His throw was almost a foot further than his nearest competitor and is the top throw in the PSAC this season. Gray also took third place in the discuss with a toss of 158’01”.
Women’s Field:
Stephanie Orji - Cheyney
Junior
Philadelphia (Delaware State)
Orji had a great performance in the triple jump at the West Chester Last Chance Meet this past weekend. The junior posted the top triple jump mark in the PSAC this season with a mark of 11.87-meters. Her mark was also good enough to reach a NCAA provisional qualifying mark.
