Women's Volleyball PSAC Athlete of the Week - 3
Lock Haven, Pa: Courtney Cook and Xuan Gao receive this week’s PSAC Athletes of the Week. Zook led her team to a perfect 4-0 week, while Xuan dominated on the court for the second consecutive week during the Lock Haven Classic Tournament.
Western Division

Middle Hitter Courtney Cook of Gannon is this week’s PSAC Athlete of the Week for the Western Division. Cook led Gannon to a perfect 3-0 record at the PSAC-WVIAC Crossover Tournament. She recorded 34 kills, 21 blocks and a .397 hitting percentage over the last four matches defeating Lake Erie, Alderson-Broaddus, Virginia Wesleyan and Wheeling Jesuit. Against Lake Erie she recorded a career high of 13 kills and only one error in 17 attempts. In the win against Alderson-Broaddus, Cook blocked a season-high nine attempts and set a career-high of eight assisted blocks

Xuan Gao- Lock Haven

Rookie Xuan Gao of Lock Haven is this week’s PSAC Athlete of the Week for the Eastern Division. Xuan had another impressive week as the Lady Eagles wrapped up their Classic Tournament with a 4-0 record. She turned in a team high of 58 kills over the four match stretch, adding 23 digs and six blocks. She averaged 4.5 kills a set, 15 per game and recorded a .471 hitting percentage. In the Lady Eagles, 3-0 victory over Stonehill, Xuan knocked down 18 kills and 4 blocks. Her top performance of the weekend was during the 3-1 win against Northern Kentucky where she had a match-high 22 kills.
