Shippensburg's Mary Dell and Lock Haven's Vanita Moses each set top marks in their respective events on their way to being named PSAC's Women's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week.

This past weekend Shippensburg senior Mary Dell put forth an impressive effort at the Penn State National Invitational on Friday and then on Saturday at Bucknell in the Bison Open. At Penn State, Dell ran the opening leg of the 4000 meter distance medley relay. The relay team won the event, which was loaded with Division I talent, with an NCAA automatic qualifying time of 11:25.16, which gives them the best time in the PSAC as well as all of Division II. She then returned to the track on Saturday at Bucknell where she posted a time of 2:14.72 in the 800 meter run that provisionally qualifies her for the NCAA Championships and ranks her eighth in the nation and first in the PSAC. She is now nationally ranked in three events, as she is already 19th in the mile.

Vanita Moses- Lock Haven

Lock Haven sophomore Vanita Moses turned in an impressive effort this past week at the Penn State National Invitational. While at Penn State, Moses finished 11th overall in a Division I-laden field, however she was the top finisher of all Division II participants in the event. Her mark of 54-02 provisionally qualifies her for the NCAA Championships. The mark also gives her the best throw in the PSAC and ranks her 17th in the nation in Division II.
