Gannon Advances to First-Ever NCAA Elite Eight

Erie, Pa. - Gannon broke open a close game in which it trailed over five minutes into the second half and ended the game on a 31-13 run to top Millersville 65-48 in the NCAA Atlantic Regional Championship game on Monday night. The win advances Gannon to the NCAA Elite Eight for the first time in program history. Gannon becomes the third straight PSAC school to win the Atlantic Regional, following California in each of the past two seasons and becomes the first PSAC school other than Cal to win the regional since Shippensburg in 2001.

Tiffany Crocker scored 20 points to lead the Golden Knight while Brittany Tabron notched a double-double with 13 points and 17 rebounds. Kim Vargas added 14 rebounds as Gannon outrebounded Millersville 54-33.

Gannon will face Tusculum in the Elite Eight round next Tuesday, March 23 at 7:00 p.m. in St. Joseph, Mo.
