Lock Haven's Nick Hilton and East Stroudsburg's Matthew Gallup have been named this week's PSAC Men's Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week as both athletes turned in impressive performances this past week.

Lock Haven junior Nick Hilton put on an impressive effort on the track this past weekend at the Bucknell Bison Outdoor Classic. Hilton finished third in a deep steeplechase field with Division I talent. Hilton’s time of 9:06.7 is the fourth fastest time in all of NCAA D-II and tops in the PSAC in the event. He was the top Division II finisher at the meet and his time is the third fastest time in school history behind All-Americans Chris Robson and Steve Moyer. Hilton’s time puts him more than 15 seconds ahead of any other PSAC runner in the event.

East Stroudsburg senior Matthew Gallup had a solid weekend at the Bucknell Bison Outdoor Classic. Gallup posted an NCAA provisional qualifying mark in the pole vault with mark of 16’-2 ¾”. The mark is the seventh best mark in Division II and is tied for the top spot in the PSAC this season. Gallup is a four-time PSAC champion, in which he went to the NCAA championships during the last two outdoor seasons. Gallup was a provisional qualifier but was not selected during 2010 indoor season, and he currently holds the school records at 16’-8” during the outdoor season and 16’-2 ¾” during the indoor season.
