Shippensburg Tops PSAC Teams in Standings at NCAA Indoor Championships
Final Results
Three PSAC student-athletes finished second in their respective events to wrap up the PSAC's performances at the NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships. Neely Spence of Shippensburg finished just shy of claiming her second straight title in the 5000 meters as she placed second. East Stroudsburg's Lynn Mayer took second in the high jump while Shippensburg's Bryan Beegle placed second in the men's 5000 meters.
Shippensburg led the PSAC contingent with an 11th place finish in the women's standings. East Stroudsburg was next in 22nd place. The Red Raiders also led the way in the men's standings, finishing ninth while IUP was 15th.

Live Results
Shippensburg's men's and women's distance medley relay teams and IUP's Nafee Harris won individual national championship on Friday night to highlight the PSAC's top performances on the first night of the NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field championships. Shippensburg claimed both the men's and women's national titles in the DMRs. The men's championship marked the first All-American performance in school history for a Red Raider relay team, while the women's title is the second in the last three years after the Lady Raiders won the event in 2009 and finished second last year.
IUP long jumper Nafee Harris won his fourth national championship and his second indoor title by winning the long jump. He repeated as the indoor long jump champion and also owns national titles in the long jump form the 2009 and 2010 outdoor NCAA championships.

A total of 32 student-athletes from the PSAC - 15 men and 17 women - will compete at this weekend's NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships. For the second straight year, the championships are being held in Albuquerque, N.M. at the Albuquerque Convention Center. Action gets underway on Friday and wraps up on Saturday.
