Kayla Shull of Clarion Named Women's Swimming Champion Scholar Thursday, February 14, 2013 11:48 AM Mechanicsburg, Pa. - Clarion's Kayla Shull earned the PSAC Women's Swimming Champion Scholar award for holding the highest grade point average amongst all participating student-athletes at the women's swimming championship. The PSAC Champion Scholar Award, begun during the 2011-12 academic year, is modeled after the NCAA's Elite 89 award and honors the student-athlete with the top grade point average that is competing at the site of each of the PSAC's 23 team championship finals. The selection criteria for the Champion Scholar Awards is identical to that of the NCAA Elite 89 awards, which honor the student-athlete with the top GPA at each of the championship final sites of the 89 NCAA championships across all three divisions - I, II and III. Shull, a senior, has completed 105.5 credit hours at Clarion and boasts a flawless 4.0 grade point average, while majoring in speech pathology / audiology.
