IUP Sweeps Lacrosse Major Awards
2013 PSAC Lacrosse All-Conference

Alexa Lodovici was named the 2013 PSAC Lacrosse Athlete of the Year, while teammate
Drew Hayden clinched the Freshman of the Year honors. IUP head coach
Mindy Richmond claimed Coach of the Year honors.
Lodovici, an Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) South Region first team selection, leads the PSAC ad ranks sixth in all of Division II in points with an average of 6.31 per outing. She chalked-up 55 goals and 46 assists for just over 100 points over the course of her senior season. With 55 marks Lodovici wrapped-up the season second in the league with 3.44 goals per game. Lodovici capped her campaign as IUP’s all-time leader with 175 goals and 292 points while ranking second in program history with 125 assists.
Hayden started all 16 games at midfield in her rookie season and notched 33 goals, the third most on the team. Hayden chalked-up 21 marks in conference action including three game-winners. The freshman also collected 33 ground balls and caused a team-high 23 turnovers.
Head Coach Mindy Richmond makes her debut on the All-PSAC Coach of the Year ranks, as she has lead the Crimson Hawks to a new PSAC record of 13 wins in a season to best the previous record off 11, set in 2011 and tied in 2012. Richmond has now completed five years with IUP and led the Hawks to a program-best 11-game winning streak to begin the 2013 season.
