Megan Litoborski of California Named Volleyball Champion Scholar
Greensburg, Pa. -
Megan Litoborski of California was presented the 2014 PSAC Volleyball Champion Scholar award prior to California's PSAC Semifinal match against West Chester on Saturday evening in Greensburg, Pa. Litoborski is the second Vulcan volleyball student-athlete to receive the award, as Abigail Freund received the honor three straight years from 2011-13.
The PSAC Champion Scholar Award, begun during the 2011-12 academic year, is modeled after the NCAA's Elite 89 award and honors the student-athlete with the top grade point average who is competing at the site of each of the PSAC's 23 team championship finals. The selection criteria for the Champion Scholar Awards is identical to that of the NCAA Elite 89 awards, which honor the student-athlete with the top GPA at each of the championship final sites of the 89 NCAA championships across all three divisions – I, II, and III.
Litoborski is a sophomore business administration major with a perfect 4.0 grade point average. The Lemont, Ill. native has completed 55 credits toward her degree.
