West Chester's Cara Deola Repeats as PSAC Women's Soccer Champion Scholar

East Stroudsburg, Pa. – West Chester’s Cara Deola was named the recipient of the PSAC Women's Soccer Champion Scholar on Friday prior to the PSAC Semifinals. It is the second consecutive year that Deola has been the women's soccer Champion Scholar.

The PSAC Champion Scholar Award, begun during the 2011-12 academic year, is modeled after the NCAA’s Elite 89 award and honors the student-athlete with the top grade point average who is competing at the site of each of the PSAC’s 23 team championship finals. The selection criteria for the Champion Scholar Awards is identical to that of the NCAA Elite 89 awards, which honor the student-athlete with the top GPA at each of the championship final sites of the 89 NCAA championships across all three divisions – I, II, and III.

Deola, a senior from a Churchville, Pennsylvania, owns a 4.0 grade point average. She has earned 93 credits towards her special education degree.
