Sarah Strybuc
Shippensburg (Sr./G)
Philadelphia, Pa./ Archbishop Ryan
Sarah Strybuc was Shippensburg's leading scorer in a 2-0 week for the Raiders including a road win over the No. 1 team in the PSAC East. Strybuc shot nearly 60% from the floor between the two games, scoring 50 points and shooting 12-of-18 from 3-point range. She missed just one of seven free throws she attempted. In a home 80-71 victory over East Stroudsburg, Strybuc played all 40 minutes and finished the game with 18 points, including a 4-of-7 mark from 3-point range, to go along with two steals and two assists. The senior tied the Shippensburg single-game record with eight 3-pointers, making eight of her first 10 3-point attempts. She was 10-of-14 from the field overall and was 4-of-5 at the free-throw line for 32 points while adding two assists and two rebounds. |

Shippensburg's Lauren Gold helped the Raiders win both contests last week. The Raiders captured an 80-71 win against East Stroudsburg, with Gold tieing her career-high of 24 points while capturing two rebounds, one assist, and a steal. She also went 11-of-12 from the free throw line. In Shippensburg's 95-80 win over West Chester Gold was 4-of-4 from the free throw line while scoring nine points, and adding three rebounds. Gold currently leads the PSAC at the line with a 90.6% free throw percentage. |

Hannah Heeter

Seneca, Pa./ Cranberry
Clarion's Hannah Heeter averaged a double-double for the week with 15 points per game and 16.5 rebounds per game. Her two double-doubles last week give the junior nine straight. She recorded 15 points and 16 rebounds in a key 69-56 win at Seton Hill. The Seneca native added 15 points, 17 rebounds, and three assists against California. Versus Seton Hill, six of her points game during a 15-3 run in the second half that turned a six-point deficit into a six-point lead. She now has 23 games in her career with 15 or more rebounds. |

Kelly Johnson
Clarion (Fr. / G)
Pittsburgh, Pa./ Mt. Lebanon
Clarion's Kelly Johnson played a key role in a 69-56 win against Seton Hill last week. She scored 23 points, had three steals, two assists, and pulled down three rebounds against the Griffins. Johnson stopped a Seton Hill come back with a 3-pointer with just four minutes left in the game. Johnson captured 13 points, four steals, and three rebounds against California. On the week she averaged 18 points and shot 53.8% from the field. |
TEAM NOTES
Bloomsburg
The 20th-ranked Huskies (20-3, 11-2 PSAC East) played just once this week, running their winning streak to 13 straight games with a 61-48 victory at East Stroudsburg on Saturday. With the win, Bloomsburg secured its fourth straight season with at least 20 victories. Junior
Jocelyn Ford led the Huskies on Saturday with a game-high 13 points as well as four assists while redshirt sophomore
Adreana Sadowski added nine points. Sophomores
Taylor Kaminski and
Lauren Nealon each played key minutes off the bench while starters fought foul trouble, putting up eight points apiece. Senior
Catherine Noack finished with seven points, running her streak of consecutive games with points scored to 80. Next up is a crucial divisional matchup on Wednesday night vs. West Chester at home with the winner taking control of first-place in the PSAC East. Bloomsburg will finish the week at Mansfield on Saturday.
California
Cal U clinched a berth and a home game in the upcoming PSAC Tournament with a pair of victories last week. The Vulcans have won five-straight games and eight of their last nine games. Junior G
Kaitlynn Fratz recorded her fifth 20-point game of the season on Wednesday, finishing with 20 points in a victory over IUP. Since moving into the starting lineup on Dec. 17,
Fratz leads the team with 13.8 points per game and the Vulcans have posted a 16-2 overall mark. Senior F
Elena Antonenko tied her career high with 20 points off the bench on Saturday at Clarion after playing only a combined five minutes the last three games, including a DNP on Wednesday. Cal U has now qualified for the PSAC Tournament in 14-consecutive seasons while under four different head coaches.
Cheyney
In their only contest of the week, the Lady Wolves fell 86-72 to Kutztown. The Golden Bears shot an impressive .625 from the field in the first half and sprinted to a 25-6 lead from which Cheyney could not recover.
Kia Whitley-Duncan and
Kyra Hines-Allen paced the Lady Wolves with 15 points apiece. Cheyney travels to Millersville on Wednesday before hosting East Stroudsburg on Saturday. Saturday is the final home game for the Lady Wolves and Cheyney will recognize the four seniors on the squad,

Lachelle Miller,
Faye Dunston and
Cristina Jordan.
Clarion
Hannah Heeter amazing career and season continued this week with two more double-doubles giving the Golden Eagle junior nine consecutive double-doubles on the season. During the stretch, she is averaging 16.4 ppg & 12.7 rpg while topping 15 rebounds tree times and 15 points seven times. She now has 13 double-doubles on the season & 42 in her career while also recording 23 games of 15 or more rebounds in her career. She had 834 career rebounds, the fifth most at Clarion, & needs four to move into a tie for fourth. Fr.
Kelly Johnson recorded her fifth 20-point game of the season Wed. at Seton Hill. On the year, Johnson has scored 314 points, the seventh most by a freshman in school history & needs one to tie Carlita Jones for sixth. Sr.
Emma Fickel needs four points to move into 10th in school history in scoring. She had 1,045 tallies.
East Stroudsburg
ESU (13-11, 8-6) will play in the PSAC Tournament for the second straight year. Warriors lead Millersville by a half-game for the division's number four seed and a first-round home game. ESU fell at Millersville, 42-31, in the first round last year. Warriors were 0-2 last week, falling 80-71 at Shippensburg and 61-48 to Bloomsburg. ESU continues to lead PSAC in field goal percent defense (37.5) and ranks second in scoring defense (62.3 ppg). Warriors held Bloomsburg's PSAC-leading field goal percent offense to 35.2 percent. Jessica Martin, last week's PSAC East Athlete of the Week (18.5 ppg, 11.5 rpg) did not play at Shippensburg due to injury, and had seven points and six rebounds vs. Bloomsburg. Martin has 203 career blocks, 10th in PSAC history, and leads PSAC with 2.9 blocks per game this year. So. C
Michelle Boggs had her first career double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds at Shippensburg. Martin leads ESU with 12.6 ppg and 8.6 rpg, followed by Fr. F
Allison Howard (11.0 ppg, 7.1 rpg) in both categories. Warriors play just one game this week, a trip to Cheyney on Saturday. ESU can guarantee its first winning season since 2006-07 (25-4) with a victory.
Edinboro
Edinboro rebounded from a loss versus California (Pa.) by defeating number 3 Gannon and Mercyhurst this past week, sweeping both for the season.
Valerie Majewski led all players with 20 points versus the Lady Knights.
Darche' Jackson recorded her 1,000th point against Gannon, the 28th player in school history to do so and moved into 27th in scoring with six points versus Mercyhurst. The Fighting Scots defense forced Gannon's offense to have one of its worst performances of the season. The Lady Knights scored 57 points and 10.0 percent on three-pointers, both season-lows. Gannon's 35.5 field goal percentage was its second lowest of the season.
Aignee' Freeland had her tenth double-double of the season with 10 points and 12 rebounds versus Mercyhurst.
Laurel Lindsay led the Scots in scoring versus Mercyhurst tying a career-high with 20 points. Edinboro is now two wins away from clinching the top spot in the PSAC West.
Gannon
After falling to Edinboro, 69-57, on Feb. 12 at the Hammermill Center, the number 3Gannon Lady Knights bounced back with a 73-64 win over PSAC West Division opponent Indiana (Pa.), 73-64, in front of a record of 1233 at the Kovalchick Complex on Feb. 15. In the win, the Lady Knights clinched a first-round bye and quarterfinal home game in the PSAC Tournament. The Lady Knights overcame their largest deficit in a victory this season, falling behind to the Crimson Hawks by 13 with 7:53 left in the first half before rallying for a 73-64 win. Next up, Next up, the number 3 Gannon Lady Knights will return home for the regular season home finale against Clarion on Wednesday, Feb. 19 at the Hammermill Center with a 5:30 p.m. tip. The Lady Knights hold a 30-14 lead in the all-time series with Clarion, winning 13 consecutive games. On home court, the Lady Knights have won six straight against the Golden Eagles.
IUP
The Crimson Hawks dropped both games last week, falling to Cal 62-56 on the road and to number 3 Gannon 73-64 at home. Jr. G
Lindsay Stamp returned to the court on Saturday after missing six games, scoring a game-high 18 points on 7-15 shooting against the Golden Knights. The weekend game also saw a KCAC women's basketball record attendance of 1,233. Sr. G
Talen Watson dropped a season-high 20 points on Wednesday against the Vulcans and averaged 15.0 points for the week. The Crimson Hawks wrap up their home scheduled this week, hosting Mercyhurst on Wednesday and Edinboro on Saturday.
Kutztown
The Golden Bears (9-14, 6-7 PSAC East) won both of their games last week, and will play Lock Haven on Wednesday with an opportunity to clinch the final spot in the playoffs. It would also be head coach Janet Malouf's 300th win. Against Millersville, Kutztown had three players combine for 54 points and 27 rebounds.
Advia Campbell (18pts/10reb),
Alyssa Bonenberger (17pts/10reb) each posted double-doubles in the 77-67 win, as
Natalya Lee (19pts/7reb) was the team's leading scorer. Campbell has a team-leading six double-doubles this season and had two last week. She leads the team in scoring (10.7), rebounding (7.7), steals (2.9-leads PSAC), and blocks (2.5-2nd in PSAC).
Bonenberger averages 10.3 points per game and shoots 78.4 percent from the free throw line. She's coming off her fifth double-double of the season.
Lee averages 9.6 points per game and has finished in double figures in each of her last two games.
Lock Haven
The Lady Eagles snapped a six-game losing streak on Saturday at Mansfield, beating the Mountaineers for the second time this season. LHU is 5-18 overall and 3-10 in PSAC East play. On Wednesday, LHU took first-place West Chester to the brink, forcing overtime. The Golden Rams pulled out a 63-59 stunner in Thomas Fieldhouse. Junior-guard
Marrya Moyer continues to separate herself as one of the premier all-around players in the PSAC. She's averaging 15.2 points per game (11th PSAC) and 9.3 rebounds per game (third PSAC).
Mansfield
Mansfield went 0-2 on the week with a road loss to Millersville on Wednesday before coming up just short in a heartbreaking loss against Lock Haven on Saturday at Decker Gymnasium.
Jena Matter recorded her fifth consecutive double-double in the 72-46 loss to Millersville with a team-high 13 points and 15 rebounds. On Saturday, Mansfield held a late lead over Lock Haven, but the Lady Eagles prevailed 66-63.
Matter led three Mounties in double figure-scoring with 20 points in the loss. In that game,
Matter moved past Alicia Espigh for 12th on the Mansfield all-time scoring list with 1,049 career points. The senior is leading Mansfield in both scoring (14.8 ppg) and rebounding (8.5 rpg) this season. Sophomore
Katie Fitzpatrick is averaging 11.9 points a game.
Mercyhurst
Mercyhurst saw its losing streak hit six games as it dropped two close decisions. Against Slippery Rock, the Lakers fell, 70-63, despite a career-high 21 points from
Katie Fischer.
Alayna White posted 14 points in the defeat. At division-leading Edinboro, the Lakers made the Scots work for the win.
Adrienne Kloecker made a three-pointer with eight seconds left to cut the deficit to one point. After two Edinboro free throws,
Fischer had a potential tying three-pointer come up short at the buzzer. Four Lakers scored in double figures, as
Kloecker had 14,
Fischer and
White each scored 13, and
Mariah Penascino added 11 points. Mercyhurst remains alive for a PSAC Tournament spot with three regular season games left. It heads to IUP on Wednesday night.
Millersville
The Marauders rolled past Mansfield 72-46 Wednesday night in Pucillo Gymnasium after they turned the ball over just 13 times and turned 23 Mountaineer turnovers into 26 points (26-7). Millersville outscored Mansfield 18-9 in second chance points, 46-15 in bench points, 43-24 in the paint, and 11-4 on the fast break. The Marauders shot a blistering 8-of-20 from three-point land.
Senada Mehmedovic led all scorers with 19 points thanks to season-highs in field goals made (seven) and three-pointers (five). Her sister
Sabina scored 10 points as the other Marauder in double-figures. Millersville then traveled to Kutztown but fell by a score of 77-67.
Carly Gallagher led all scorers with 20 points on 5-of-8 shooting from the floor including 2-for-3 from behind the arc and 8-of-14 at the charity stripe.
Alexis Martin was the next Marauder in double-figures with 14 points, six rebounds and one steal.
Yasmin Cooper earned the seventh double-double of her career with 11 points and 10 rebounds to go with two assists.
Pitt-Johnstown
Pitt-Johnstown only playing on game last week came away with a 85-78 win over Seton Hill. Come up for UPJ on Wednesday they will travel to California and host Gannon on Saturday.
Seton Hill
Seton Hill was busy this week. They played Clarion with the score of 56-69 and Pitt-Johnstown with the score of 78-85. Seton Hill will only play one game this week. They will host Slippery Rock on Saturday the 22
nd.
Shippensburg
SHIP defeated ESU (No. 3 in PSAC East) and WCU (No. 1 in PSAC East) in an impressive 2-0 week. Senior
Sarah Strybuc (third in PSAC in scoring and three-pointers) tied the SU single-game with eight three-pointers in a 95-80 win at WCU, scoring 32 points in total. Freshman
Lauren Gold ranks among the Top 10 free-throw shooters in the country and leads the PSAC in made free throws and free-throw percentage. Freshman
Morgan Griffith grabbed her eighth double-double of the season at WCU with 15 points and 13 rebounds. Sophomore
Stephanie Knauer ranks third in D-II for field-goal percentage and continues to pace the league in shooting 62 percent from the floor. SU has clinched a PSAC East playoff berth and looks to clinch a home game this week.
Slippery Rock
Slippery Rock picked up its fifth win of the season with a 70-63 road victory at Mercyhurst in its only game of the week.
D'Asia Chambers shot 73% from the field and recorded a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds to lead the way.
Jazmyne Frost added 18 points and
Rebecca Olkosky sealed the win with six free throws in the final two minutes.
West Chester
The Golden Rams split a pair of games with an overtime win at Lock Haven on Wednesday, and a home loss on Saturday to Shippensburg.
Dallas Ely who sent the game into overtime with a three-pointer with two seconds left on Wednesday, scored 32 points on Saturday and leads the league in scoring at 19.6 a contest. West Chester travels to Bloomsburg on Wednesday, in a game between the two top teams in the east.
