Jocelyn Ford

Bloomsburg's Jocelyn Ford helped the Huskies clinch the PSAC East regular season title with a 66-58 win over West Chester. She finished with 17 points, eight rebounds, six assists and a block against the Golden Rams. She nailed a jumper in the paint as the shot clock expired that gave the Huskies a 61-54 lead with 2:12 to play. She clinched the win with a pair of free throws with 10 seconds remaining. At Mansfield, Ford finished with a game-high 16 points and nine rebounds along with four assists and a pair of steals. She averaged 16.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and five assists for the week. |

Shippensburg's Morgan Griffith led the Raiders to a 2-0 week. In a 81-52 win versus Kutztown, Griffith captured 15 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Against Mansfield Griffith recorded a team-high 17 points along with six rebounds and three steals. On the week Griffith went 9-of-17 from the floor and 10-of-12 from the free throw line. |

Darche' Jackson

Pittsburgh, Pa./ Penn Hills
Darche' Jackson of Edinboro scored a season and game-high 23 points in an 82-64 win versus Slippery Rock. She followed that with tying her career-high 11 rebounds at IUP. Against Slippery Rock, Jackson had 21 first half points and shot 9-for-16 from the floor. She dished-out six assists and had four steals in the win. Versus IUP, the senior added 17 points to the career-high 11 rebounds. Jackson is now 25th in school history in points with 1,046. On the week, she averaged 20 points, eight rebounds, and 3.5 assists per outing. |

D'Asia Chambers

Slippery Rock's D'Asia Chambers recorded her fifth 30+ point game of the year with 31 points to lead SRU to a 62-60 win at Seton Hill. She went 13-of-15 from the field, while pulling down nine rebounds. Earlier in the week, she scored 23 points against the PSAC-West leader Edinboro to finish the week averaging 27 points and 8.5 rebounds, and shooting better than 67% from the field. |

Alex Artise

Mercyhurst's Alex Artise earned a career-high of 21 points against Clarion last week. Along with her 21 points she grabbed six rebounds, two assists, and a steal. Against IUP Artise went 4-of-4 from the free throw line while putting-up 15 points, four rebounds, and two assists. Aritise went 8-of-17 from 3-point range last week. |

TEAM NOTES
Bloomsburg
The Huskies (22-3, 13-2 PSAC East) won the PSAC Eastern Division regular season title for the fourth straight season after running their winning streak to 15 straight games with victories over West Chester and Mansfield this week. Bloomsburg defeated West Chester, 66-58,
on Wednesday night led by 20 points from
Catherine Noack, who connected on 7-of-8 attempts from the floor including 6-of-7 on 3-pointers.
Jocelyn Ford added 17 points, eight rebounds and six assists. Both
Noack and
Ford tallied 17 points apiece on Saturday in a 63-55 win at Mansfield. The Huskies entered the week with the fourth-longest active winning streak in Division II and will look to stretch the streak while celebrating Senior Night vs. Kutztown in the regular season finale on Wednesday, Feb. 26. With the top spot in the East clinched, the Huskies will then have a bye into the PSAC Quarterfinals against an opponent to be determined at Nelson Field House on Tuesday, March 4.
California
The Vulcans extended their winning streak to six games on Wednesday with a 94-65 victory over Pitt-Johnstown. Cal U was idle on Saturday and closes the regular season on Feb. 26 at Seton Hill. The Vulcans were tabbed seventh in the initial Atlantic regional rankings after playing five games (1-4) against regionally-ranked teams. Senior G
Kate Seebohm has scored a combined 35 points in the last two games after previously averaging only 2.0 points per game. Freshman G
Miki Glenn registered her fifth 20-point game of the year, scoring 21 points against Pitt-Johnstown. Cal U has scored at least 85 points five times this season with a pair of 90-point games.
Cheyney
Cheyney fell 72-65 to East Stroudsburg in the Lady Wolves final home contest of the season. Cheyney said good-bye to four seniors;
Alexis Peterson,
Faye Dunston,
Cristina Jordan and
Lachelle Miller. But it was
Kia Whitely-Duncan who paced the blue and white with 27 points while
Kyra Hines-Allen chipped in 20. Earlier in the week,
Kyra Hines-Allen and
Amber Genwright scored 10 points apiece but the Lady Wolves fell 73-45 to Millersville. Cheyney will end the season at Lock Haven on Wednesday night. The Lady Wolves four conference wins represents the most PSAC victories since the seven victories during the 2009-10 campaign.
Clarion
Clarion controls its own destiny in the PSAC Playoff race. A win by the Golden Eagles at Edinboro
Wednesday gets Clarion into the postseason. Clarion can also get into the postseason with losses by Seton Hill and Mercyhurst Wednesday. Fr.
Kelly Johnson netted her second 30-point game of the season with 30 against Mercyhurst Sunday. She joins Shannon Coakley (1991) as the only freshman in school history to have two 30-point games in the same season. She is one of three Golden Eagle freshman with a 30-point game.
Johnson also had seven steals in the game, tying for the 12th most in school history and tying a freshman school record held by Ashley Grimm and Mariah Gador. Prior to Sunday's game, Clarion honored seniors
Emma Fickel and
Raven Jones.
Fickel then scored 22 points giving her 1,075 in her career, the ninth most in school history, while
Jones dished out six assists giving her 399 in her career, the fourth most at Clarion.
East Stroudsburg
ESU (14-11, 9-6) secured its first winning season since 2006-07 with a 72-65 win at Cheyney on Saturday in its only game last week. ESU and Millersville are tied for fourth in the PSAC East entering
Wednesday. Millersville holds the tiebreaker by virtue of its win over Bloomsburg on Nov. 20. ESU hosts West Chester and Millersville heads to Shippensburg on Wednesday. Warriors have excelled defensively, leading the PSAC in field goal % defense (37.4) and blocks per game (5.12), ranking second in 3-point defense (27.1), third in steals per game (10.60) and fourth in scoring defense (62.4) and forced turnovers (19.9). Jessica Martin (12.8 ppg, 8.6 rpg) and Fr. F
Allison Howard (11.3 ppg, 7.1 rpg) lead ESU on both ends of the floor.
Martin leads the PSAC in blocks (2.8 per game) and ranks 10th in PSAC history with 205 career blocks as a junior. Jr. G
Ryann Fiascki (9.3 ppg) is the only other Warrior averaging more than six points. Saturday's PSAC first round game vs. Millersville will be a rematch of the Marauders' 42-31 win in the first round last year.
Edinboro
Edinboro clinched the top seed in the PSAC West after sweeping Slippery Rock and Indiana (Pa.) this past week. Edinboro scored a season-high 50 first half points in rout to an 82-64 win over Slippery Rock. Against IUP, the Fighting Scots had to rally from a 33-20 halftime deficit.
Darche' Jackson led the team with 23 points against The Rock with 21 of them coming in the first half.
Valerie Majewski paced the way against IUP with 18 points, all coming in the second half.
Laurel Lindsay provided a double-double against SRU with 18 points and a career-high 10 assists. She has scored in double-figures in seven straight games.
Aignee' Freeland had a double-double in both games, averaging 15.5 ppg. and 13.0 rpg. She now has a double-double in eight of the last ten games.
Gannon
The No. 5 Gannon Lady Knights concluded the regular season with a 71-50 victory over PSAC West Division opponent Pitt-Johnstown on Feb. 22 at the Sports Center. The win marked the Lady Knights' first road-victory over the Lady Cats in program history. To open the week on Feb. 19, the Lady Knights sealed a 73-33 victory over Clarion in the regular-season home finale by holding the visiting Golden Eagles scoreless in the final 6:37 of play. For the sixth time in program history, the Lady Knights reached the 25-win milestone. Among the Lady Knights' 25 wins, 19 have been decided by double digits and 12 by 20 points or more. Junior
Nettie Blake extended her double-digit scoring streak to 12 games, starting back on
Jan. 11 against Clarion. With the postseason starting this weekend, the Lady Knights will remain idle for over a week after wrapping up the regular season. The Lady Knights earned a first-round bye and home quarterfinal game in the PSAC Tournament, which will be held at the Hammermill Center on March 4.
IUP
The Crimson Hawks split another week of games with an 83-63 win over Mercyhurst before giving way in the second half to Edinboro in a 69-63 loss. Four players averaged double-figures in scoring during the week, led by Jr. G
Lindsay Stamp with 14.5 ppg. During the week, IUP clinched the fourth spot in the PSAC West playoff race and secured a first round home game. The Crimson Hawks head into their regular season finale at Slippery Rock on Wednesday with a 16-9 overall record and a 7-8 mark in the division.
Kutztown
The Golden Bears (9-16, 6-9 PSAC East) are locked into the sixth seed for the playoffs. Following their season-finale at Bloomsburg on Wednesday, Kutztown will travel to either Shippensburg or West Chester on Saturday, March 1 to play the third-seed. In the first meeting against Bloomsburg, Kutztown was defeated 74-56. This season,
Advia Campbell leads all scorers at 10.8 points per game to go along with 7.6 rebounds.
Alyssa Bonenberger is next up with 10.0 points and 7.4 rebounds per game.
Campbell is tied for the lead-league with 2.8 blocks per game and her 2.8 steals per game ranks second.
Lock Haven
The Lady Eagles are coming off a 1-1 week, with a 70-63 win against Kutztown on Wednesday (Feb. 19) and most a recently a 75-62 loss to Millersville Saturday (Feb. 22). LHU is 6-19 overall and 4-11 in conference action. LHU is led by juniors
Marrysa Moyer and
Emily Daugherty.
Moyer continues to prove to be one of the best in the conference. She averages 14.9 points per game and 8.7 rebounds, earning 11th and fourth place rankings in the conference.
Emily Daugherty averages 12.8 points per game and leads LHU in 3-pointers with 27 on the season. The Lady Eagles are looking to pick up their fifth and final win of the regular season on Wednesday(Feb. 26) when LHU hosts Cheyney in conference action. LHU will honors its graduating senior prior to tip.
Mansfield
The Mountaineers hung tough against nationally-ranked Bloomsburg in Mansfield season finale on Saturday rallying from an 18-point deficit with nine minutes to play.
Jena Matter finished her outstanding career as the 11th leading scorer in program history with 1,073 points and 8th in rebounds at 668.
Mercyhurst
Mercyhurst has now lost eight in a row after taking two road losses last week. With a win over Pitt-Johnstown and losses by Clarion and Seton Hill, the Lakers can still make the PSAC Tournament. At Indiana (Pa.), four Lakers scored in double figures in an 83-63 loss.
Alex Artise led with 15 points, while
Adrienne Kloecker put up 13 points, four assists, and four rebounds. At Clarion,
Artise scored a career-high 21 points, making five three-pointers, as Mercyhurst fell, 82-64.
Kloecker,
Alayna White, and
Natalie Piaggesi each added 10 or more points in the defeat. The Lakers host UPJ in the regular season finale
Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.
Millersville
Millersville defeated Cheyney 73-45 Wednesday night and held the Wolves to just 11 field goals including only one 3-pointer, both of which tied season-lows for a 2013-14 Millersville opponent.
Celeste Robinson registered her fourth career double-double (17 points, 10 rebounds) on 7-of-10 shooting from the field including 1-for-1 from behind the arc.
Yasmin Cooper earned her fourth double-double in six games with 10 points and 15 rebounds.
Senada Mehmedovic was the final Marauder in double figures with 13 points and made two of her six 3-point attempts. Millersville then shot 51 percent from the field including 6-for-11 from 3-point land in a 75-62 win over Lock Haven
Saturday afternoon. Four Marauders scored in double figures including
Robinson (21),
Senada (17),
Alexis Martin (14), and
Shelby Reimer (12). Millersville improved to 17-3 in
Senada's career when she scores 10 or more points. The Marauders are also 10-4 this season when
Robinson makes at least five field goals.
Pitt-Johnstown
Pitt-Johnstown had a busy week last week going 0-2 against California and Gannon. Pitt-Johnstown will next be in action at Mercyhurst on Wednesday.
Seton Hill
Seton Hill just played one game last week falling to Slippery Rock. Seton Hill will play again on Wednesday hosting California.
Shippensburg
Shippensburg went 2-0 this week and remains in contention for the No. 2 seed in the East and a first-round bye for the PSAC playoffs. With a home win in the regular-season finale
on Wednesday, Millersville and a loss by West Chester at East Stroudsburg, SU will earn the No. 2 seed. If it doesn't earn the second seed, SU will be the No. 3 seed and host No. 6 Kutztown in the PSAC First Round
next Saturday. The Raiders defeated Mansfield at home
on Wednesday, 82-72, before dispatching Kutztown on the road
on Saturday, 81-52. The win vs. Mansfield was their 12th straight in the series. SU has scored 80 or more points in four straight games and 15 times in 25 games this season. SU held KU to 0-for-8 shooting from three, the first time in nearly two years it’s held an opponent without a three.
Slippery Rock
Slippery Rock recorded its sixth win of the season and completed a season sweep of Edinboro.
D'Asia Chambers has now scored 30 or more points in five games this season. She scored half the team's points, 31, in the win at Seton Hill.
West Chester
West Chester lost a tight contest at Bloomsburg on Wednesday, and had a bye on Saturday. The Golden Rams were led by
Kendall Benovy with 19 points, the Jr.'s second highest total on the season. West Chester continues to lead the PSAC in scoring at 81 points a game, and
Dallas Ely shows the way with a 19.4 average. The Golden Rams would clinch second place and a first round bye, with a victory on Wednesday night at East Stroudsburg.
