Lock Haven, Pa. – Lock Haven’s Jessica Pandolf was named the 2014 PSAC Lacrosse Athlete of the Year, as selected by the league’s head coaches. West Chester’s Dina Cifelli is the PSAC Freshman of the Year and Seton Hill’s head coach Courtney Tamasitis Grove is the PSAC Lacrosse Coach of the Year.

Pandolf currently leads the league and ranks sixth in Division II with 3.94 goals per game with a conference-high 67 goals. The two-time All-PSAC First Team selection averages 7.82 shots per outing with a .789 shot on goal percentage. Pandolf also heads into the PSAC Semifinals ranked atop the league with six draw controls per contest, as she has 102 draw controls this season - 16 more than anyone in the league. The 2011 PSAC Freshman of the Year is the first PSAC Lacrosse Athlete of the Year for The Haven since Leigh Titus won the PSAC Lacrosse West Athlete of the Year accolade back-to-back in 2009 and 2010.

Cifelli is averaging 3.56 assists per game, which is the second highest average in the PSAC and third in Division II. So far this season Cifelli, a PSAC Second Team honoree, has totaled 21 goals, 57 assists, 78 points, 45 draw controls, and 16 ground balls. The Robinsville, N.J. native is the first PSAC Lacrosse Freshman of the Year from West Chester since Claire Grimwood earned the award in 2008.

Tamasitis Grove returned to Seton Hill this season after being the Griffins’ head coach from 2008-11 and spending the previous two seasons at Marquette University. In 2014 she guided the program to a PSAC playoff berth in the school’s inaugural season in the league. Seton Hill’s 13 wins in 2014 mark the most ever for the program in one season.

Of the First Team honorees, four are repeat selections from 2013 including four-time First Team selection Liz French of Shippensburg. IUP’s Taylor Norwood is making her third appearance on the All-PSAC First Team, while Pandolf and Lock Haven’s Chelsea Borrino are two-time First Team picks.
