PSYCH SHEET
York, Pa. - The York County YMCA and Graham Aquatic Center will host the 2015 PSAC Swimming Championships from Thursday, February 19 through Sunday, February 22. This year's event marks the 57th year for the men's championship, and the 40th year for the women's championship.
MEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP
West Chester is seeking its 17th consecutive conference championship and its 28th overall. However, West Chester's 16-straight PSAC titles isn't the longest winning streak in league history. Clarion won the conference crown from 1971-1989 spanning 19 years. Clarion's last conference title came in 1998 after winning the crown the previous three seasons. The Golden Eagles have earned 24 conference titles, while Shippensburg has four and Slippery Rock won in 1966.
West Chester scored 1,036 points at the 2014 championship, marking the most points scored by a team at the league championship since at least 1999.
Four-time NCAA Division II champion and 2014 PSAC Men’s Swimmer of the Year
Victor Polyakov is back for his sophomore season with West Chester and holds the top seeded times in the 200 freestyle (1:37.25), 500 freestyle (4:24.14), 1000 freestyle (9:19.98), 400 IM (3:56.76), and 100 backstroke (49.70). In 2014, Polyakov won the 100, 200, 500, and 1000 freestyle at the league championship and set three PSAC championship records in the process.
PSAC championship and all-time record holder in the 100 breaststroke
