Lock Haven, Pa. - The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference has released its all-conference awards for the 2015 football season. Highlighting the awards for the PSAC West are California’s James Harris, Slippery Rock’s Marcus Martin, IUP’s Lenny Williams, and Slippery Rock’s George Mihalik.

Harris is now a two-time First Team All-PSAC honoree at quarterback and can now add PSAC West Offensive Athlete of the year to his impressive list of accolades. Harris led Cal to an 8-3 overall record in 2015 and a passing attack that ranked in the top five in the conference. In his final career game for the Vulcans, Harris threw for a career-best five touchdowns in a resounding win over Lock Haven.

In just his sophomore season, Martin was twice been named First Team All-PSAC and is the winner of PSAC West Defensive Athlete of the Year after claiming PSAC West Freshman of the Year last season. Martin had 10 sacks in 2015, most in the PSAC West. He also led the PSAC West in tackles for loss (14.5).

Williams earned PSAC West Freshman of the Year honors in addition to being named the quarterback on the All-PSAC West Second Team. Williams helped lead the Crimson Hawks to the NCAA Playoffs, finishing the year with 1,322 yards passing and 994 yards rushing. Williams ran for more than 100 yards in five straight games during one stretch this season and has only thrown three interceptions all year. He ranked fifth in the PSAC in rushing yards per game, averaging 99.4 yards in each contest.

Mihalik has guided The Rock to a top 10 ranking, the second seed in Super Region One, and a second straight PSAC Championship on his way to winning his sixth PSAC Coach of the Year honor. In his 28th year as the head coach at SRU, Mihalik ranks fourth in PSAC history in wins by a head coach. The Rock has now won or shared eight PSAC West titles, including wins in four of the past five seasons.

Slippery Rock and California each led the PSAC West with 12 players earning all-conference honors. SRU, however, took up 13 positions, as Andrew Huska was named First Team All-PSAC as both the placekicker and the punter.
