KUTZTOWN, Pa. --- Shippensburg swept the 2016 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Cross Country Championships on a blustery Saturday morning on the campus of Kutztown University in Kutztown, Pa.
On the women's side, Shippensburg's Casey Norton claimed the individual title by one-tenth of a second over Seton Hill's Chelsia Poole in a photo finish. Norton completed the 6K in 22:17.9 while Poole used a time of 22:18.0.
California's Summer Hill, Edinboro's Emma Sullivan and Shippensburg's Caitlyn Reese rounded out the top five.
The Raiders won their eighth team title and first since 2012 after accumulating 50 points while Norton is the sixth Shippensburg runner to win an individual title.
Bloomsburg finished second with 60 points while East Stroudsburg was third with 151.
On the men's side, Lock Haven's Addison Monroe cruised to an individual title by besting Edinboro's Bryan Geehrer by nearly 10 seconds.
Monroe used a time of 25:38.6 to earn the win and is the 11th Bald Eagle to claim an individual crown.
Shippensburg's Kieran Sutton, IUP's Austin Cooper and LHU's Facob Fetterman rounded out the top five.
Shippensburg earned the team championship with 47 points while LHU claimed second with 54 and Edinboro finished third with 63 points.
The Raiders won their second team title and first since 2010.
The top 30 runners in both championships earned All-PSAC Honors. The top 15 runners garnered first-team recognition while the 16th through 30th-place finishers earned second-team merits.
Teams will compete at the NCAA DII Atlantic Regionals Saturday, Nov. 5 in Slippery Rock, Pa.

KUTZTOWN, Pa. --- The 2016 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Cross Country Championships will take place Saturday, Oct. 22 on the campus of Kutztown University in Kutztown, Pa.
The men's race will start at 10 a.m. while the women are slated for 11 a.m.
Lock Haven has claimed the last three team men's championships after earning the 2015 crown with 33 points. It looks to be the first team in PSAC to accomplish a four-peat since doing so 2003-2006.
LHU's Addison Monroe looks to build off a third-place finish in the 2015 Championship and has earned PSAC Athlete of the Week merits twice this year.
Shippensburg and IUP finished second and third last season, respectively.
Shippensburg will return two top-five finishers in Alexander Balla (fourth) and Kieran Sutton (fifth).
The Bald Eagles are ranked No. 20 in the USTFCCCA Coaches' Poll and sit No. 1 in the Atlantic Region Coaches' Poll.
Eight PSAC schools are in the top 10 of the Atlantic Region Coaches' Poll.
Edinboro boasts 29 team championships while West Chester and LHU have eight each.
On the women's side, Edinboro seeks its third consecutive team title after besting East Stroudsburg by 12 points in 2015.
Shippensburg, California and Bloomsburg rounded-out the top five.
Shippensburg is No. 22 in the USTFCCCA Coaches' Poll and No. 1 in the Atlantic Coaches' Poll.
BU and Slippery Rock follow suit at No. 2 and 3, respectively.
Edinboro has amassed 17 team titles while IUP and Shippensburg have seven apiece.
