Danielle Swingle Named Women's Track & Field Champion Scholar
East Stroudsburg sophomore Danielle Swingle has been named the PSAC Women's Track and Field Champion Scholar. The award was presented on Friday morning prior to the start of the PSAC Track and Field Championships held at Mansfield Univerisity.
The PSAC Champion Scholar Awards are modeled after the NCAA's Elite 89 award and honor the student-athlete with the top grade point average who is competing at the site of each of the PSAC's 23 team championship finals. The selection criteria for the Champion Scholar Awards is identical to that of the NCAA Elite 90 awards, which honor the student-athlete with the top GPA at each of the championship finals sites of the 90 NCAA championships across all three divisions – I, II, and III.
A native of Lake Ariel, Pa. and a graduate of Western Wayne, Swingle has completed 53 credits towards her degree in biochemistry and currently holds a cumulative grade point average of 4.00.
