Erin Gallagher Earns Women's Lacrosse Champion Scholar
West Chester senior Erin Gallagher has been named the PSAC Women's Lacrosse Champion Scholar. The award was presented on Friday afternoon prior to the start of the PSAC semifinal matchup between West Chester and IUP held at Mercyhurst University.
The PSAC Champion Scholar Awards are modeled after the NCAA's Elite 89 award and honor the student-athlete with the top grade point average who is competing at the site of each of the PSAC's 23 team championship finals. The selection criteria for the Champion Scholar Awards is identical to that of the NCAA Elite 90 awards, which honor the student-athlete with the top GPA at each of the championship finals sites of the 90 NCAA championships across all three divisions – I, II, and III.
A native of Narberth, Pa. and a graduate of Lower Merion, Gallagher has completed 107 credits towards his degree in Early Grade Prep - Special Education and currently holds a cumulative grade point average of 4.0.
