Anthony Lee

Lee led Kutztown in scoring last week as the #13 Golden Bears rode their winning streak to seven games. He averaged 20.5 points, shot 65.2 percent from the field and 66.7 percent from 3-point range while making all five of his free throws. Against Bloomsburg on Wednesday, Lee shot spectacularly, making 9-of-13 from the field, 3-of-4 from 3-point range and a perfect 3-of-3 from the line en route to a season and team-high 24 points – his fourth 20+ point game in seven contests – to go along with four rebounds, four assists, two steals and a block. At Millersville on Saturday, he led KU with 17 points on 6-of-10 shooting, including 3-of-5 from 3-point range. In addition to adding four rebounds, the redshirt-sophomore had multiple steals for the 10th time in 11 contests. |

Tyrell Long

Long notched back-to-back double-doubles for the Golden Rams this week against Millersville and Lock Haven. Long continues to be a critical factor on both ends of the floor, propelling West Chester past Millersville on Wednesday. The junior posted 24 points, 12 rebounds, three steals, and two blocks. From the floor, Long was 71.4 percent (10-14) and perfect from downtown (3-3). The Bishop McDevitt product followed that performance up by stuffing the stat sheet by contributing 15 points, 14 rebounds, seven assists, six steals, and two blocks in a loss to Lock Haven on Saturday. In both games, Long led the squad in terms of rebounding. Overall, Long came away with 39 points, 26 rebounds, 10 assists, nine steals, and four blocks for the Golden Rams. |

Hinton averaged 29 points in last week’s two-game span that saw LHU go 1-1 in PSAC East play (L at Mansfield, W at West Chester). He recorded back-to-back career-scoring outings as he netted a then career-high 28 at Mansfield, before registering his first-career 30-point game at West Chester in a thrilling PSAC East win. At Mansfield, Hinton also had six rebounds and two steals to go along with his 28 points. In the huge win at West Chester, Hinton had seven rebounds to go along with his career-high 30 points, which powered Lock Haven to the victory, LHU’s first at WCU since January 2007. |

Wise averaged 11 points while the Mountain Cats went 1-1 on the week. Wise scored 12 points, dished out four assists and recorded a steal in a contest against Seton Hill. |
TEAM NOTES
California: Cal U has won three of its last five games, all in PSAC West play, after losing 19-straight games to league opponents. The Vulcans set season highs with a .587 field-goal percentage and a .500 three-point percentage on Saturday in a 69-52 win over Mercyhurst. Over the last four games, junior Tony Richardson is averaging 13.5 points while shooting 75.0 percent from the floor. He played a career-high 31 minutes on Saturday against the Lakers after leading the team in scoring with 16 points on Wednesday at IUP. Fellow junior Cordell Smith is shooting at a 44.7 clip (17-of-38) from three-point territory over the last six games. He tied his career high with five three-pointers and finished with 17 points off the bench in the win over Mercyhurst. The Vulcans currently featured a balanced rotation with eight players averaging at least 20 minutes and none averaging 28 minutes per game.
Gannon: Gannon extended its season-high win streak to seven with two road victories last week at Mercyhurst (78-73 in ot) and Mansfield (81-76), representing the program's longest win streak since winning eight straight (Feb. 11-March 8, 2015) en route to the 2015 PSAC Championship … the Golden Knights began the week by claiming the Porreco Pride of Erie Game trophy given to the winning team in the Gannon-Mercyhurst rivalry … sophomore Evan Phoenix received the Porreco Pride of Erie Game Changer Award given to the student-athlete who had the most impact on the victory after recording his third double-double of the season with 18 points and 13 rebounds … the Golden Knights played overtime for the fifth time in a six-game span, setting a program record for most overtime games in the same season … the 1987-88, 2011-12 and 2014-15 teams previously held the record with four overtime contests … Gannon and Dixie State (Ga.) are tied for most overtime games (5) in NCAA Division II this season … the Golden Knights are four overtime games shy of the NCAA Division II record (9) held by Angelo State (Texas) in 2010-11 and Barton (N.C.) in 2006-07 … junior Zay Jackson recorded season-highs in points (29) and three-pointers (6) at Mansfield … the Golden Knights have reached the 80-point plateau 11 times during the first 17 games … they did so only three times last season and it represents the most in a season since the 2011-12 team accomplished the feat 14 times … Gannon improved to 12-1 this season when reaching the 70-point plateau and 60-4 all-time under head coach John T. Reilly when scoring at least 80 points … the program is 113-8 when producing at least 80 points during the last 14 seasons … Gannon out-rebounded its seventh consecutive opponent … Gannon and Mansfield combined to record 22 steals, representing the most in a game involving the Golden Knights since Gannon and West Chester produced 24 on December 17, 2014 at the Hammermill Center … Gannon owns its best 17-game record since the 2012-13 squad was 14-3.
Lock Haven: The LHU men’s basketball team picked up a crucial PSAC East win at West Chester on Saturday (Jan. 21), which pushed Lock Haven to 5-8 in the Eastern Division standings and helped the Bald Eagles keep pace in the playoff race … LHU is now 9-8 overall … In the 88-83 win over West Chester, freshman-sensation Amir Hinton registered his first-career 30-point game … The rookie averaged 29 points per game in LHU’s 1-1 week last week and on the season, he averages 23 points per game, the most of any PSAC player … As a team, LHU is averaging 81.6 points per game, which ranks No. 4 in the league … Lock Haven now returns home for a pair of PSAC East games vs. Bloomsburg and East Stroudsburg.
Millersville: Jordan Greene continued his emergence as a key player for the Marauders. He has started the last three games and has averaged 15.7 points per game in that stretch. He's scored in double figures seven times in the last nine games after averaging 4.5 ppg in the first eight games. Greene also grabbed eight offensive rebounds in the last three games. Conrad Chambers set career highs in points (27) and assists (7) against West Chester. Amadou Kaba totaled eight steals and blocked four shots in his last three games. He also scored at least eight points in every game and double-figures twice for his best three-game scoring output of the season.
Shippensburg: SHIP is one of four remaining unbeaten teams in Division II after surviving a double-digit deficit vs. ESU for an overtime win and then getting an overtime win at Cheyney...SHIP leads the PSAC in scoring margin (+19.1) and three-point defense (.278)...SU's three-point defense leads the country...junior Dustin Sleva leads the PSAC in rebounds (11.2) and is fourth in scoring (20.5)...SU is fifth in the country in fewest fouls, seventh in defensive rebounding, fifth in scoring margin and 13th in free-throw percentage...Sleva is second in the country in double-doubles and eighth in rebounding.
