PSAC Athletes of the Week - 12/11 Monday, December 11, 2017 2:30 PM Men's Basketball: Eastern Division Athlete of the Week Anthony Lee Kutztown (Jr. / G) Willow Grove, Pa. / Abington Lee led KU at 22 points per game in KU's 2-0 week while moving to 7-1 this season. He made 60 percent of his shots, including a 6-for-12 clip from 3-point range, with an 8-for-9 performance at the free throw line. He added four rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.0 steals per game. Against Bowie State on Wednesday, an NCAA Tournament team last year, he scored 21 points on 7-of-9 shooting in 39 minutes. Saturday against Seton Hill, he scored 23 points with six rebounds. Men's Basketball: Eastern Division Freshman of the Week Moe Williams Kutztown (Fr. / G) Townsend, Del. / Life Center Academy Williams returned to the starting lineup Saturday and posted his first career double-double in a KU victory. He averaged 7.5 points and 8.5 rebounds while shooting 50 percent from the field. Defensively, he had five blocks on the 2-0 KU week. Wednesday night against Bowie State, an NCAA Tournament team last year, Williams played 15 minutes off the bench with six rebounds. Saturday against Seton Hill, he started and notched a double-double with 11 points, 11 rebounds, three blocks and two steals. Men's Basketball: Western Division Athlete of the Week Micah Till Slippery Rock (So. / F) Upper Marlboro, Md. / Wise Till scored 27 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in a win at Millersville and followed that up the next day with 20 points and 17 rebounds in a win over Carlow. He averaged 23.5 points and 14.0 rebounds in two games last week while also averaging 1.0 block, 2.5 steals and 1.5 assists and shooting 20-of-30 from the field, including 3-of-6 from 3-point. Till has double-doubles in four straight games and seven games this season, helping lead SRU to six straight wins and an 8-2 start to the year. Men's Basketball: Western Division Freshman of the Week Mason Mraz Clarion (G / Fr.) New Castle, Pa. / Laurel Mraz continued his impressive freshman campaign, knocking down 3-of-6 three point attempts and finishing with 11 points and 5 rebounds in an 83-80 loss to Bloomsburg. Women's Basketball: Eastern Division Athlete of the Week Imani Brown East Stroudsburg (Sr. / G) Lake Hoptacong, N.J. / Jefferson Brown led ESU with 17 points and nine rebounds in a 54-49 win over Gannon on Saturday, helping the Warriors (6-3, 4-1) open up a two game lead in the PSAC East standings. Brown matched a season high with four steals. The victory was ESU's first over Gannon since 1995, as the Golden Knights had won each of the previous seven meetings since joining the PSAC in 2008-09. Brown has led the Warriors in scoring and rebounding in each of the past four games and 7 of 9 overall on the year. She has scored in double figures in every contest, and is averaging a team-high 21.1 points, 8.1 rebounds and 34.0 minutes per game this season. Women's Basketball: Eastern Division Freshman of the Week Marlene Bassett East Stroudsburg (Fr. / F) Williamsport, Pa. / Montoursville Bassett totaled a season-high 12 points to go along with five rebounds, two assists and a block as ESU topped Gannon 54-49 on Saturday to open up a two-game lead in the PSAC East standings. She hit 5 of 10 shots from the field and both of her free throw attempts. Bassett has started all nine games for the Warriors to begin her collegiate career, reaching double figures in five of those contests. The freshman is averaging 7.8 points and 4.7 rebounds per game while ranking second on the team with eight blocks. Women's Basketball: Western Division Co-Athlete of the Week Ciara Patterson Slippery Rock (Jr. / G) North Versailles, Pa. / West Mifflin Patterson led The Rock to an 85-72 victory on the road at Millersville last week. In what was SRU’s only game of the week, Patterson went for 28 points on an efficient 7-for-8 shooting performance from the field overall and a 9-for-9 effort from the foul line. Patterson was lethal from 3-point range as she went 5-for-6 from deep. In addition to her offensive output, Patterson also grabbed six rebounds and passed out three assists. Women's Basketball: Western Division Co-Athlete of the Week Jenna Kaufman Seton Hill (Sr. / F) Damascus, Md. / Damascus Kaufman scored a career-high 30 points in the Griffins 92-66 PSAC Crossover win over Kutztown on Saturday. She was 9-13 from the floor and 10-12 from the line in addition to being 2-3 from three-point land. Kaufman added 7 rebounds in the win. Women's Basketball: Western Division Freshman of the Week Katie Nolan Seton Hill (Fr. / F) Yorkville, Ill. / Yorkville Nolan posted the first double-double of her career in the Griffins 92-66 PSAC crossover win at Kutztown. She scored 10 points and added 10 rebounds. The freshman also chipped in an assist and a steal.
