WOMEN'S BASKETBALL EASTERN DIVISION ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Alexis Smith

Smith made a school-record-tying seven 3-pointers Saturday at Lock Haven, as a freshman. She scored 25 points at Lock Haven to average 19 per game on the week in two KU wins. She averaged 4.5 rebounds and shot 72.2 percent from the field and 81.8 percent from 3-point range, all in just 21 minutes per game. Wednesday vs. ESU, she scored 13 points on 5-of-8 shooting. Saturday at LHU, she scored 25 with 7 3's on 8-of-10 shooting, 7-of-8 from 3-point range. She also grabbed seven rebounds, her most since November. |

Lauren Lister

Lister led all scorers with 22 points in Millersville's buzzer-beating upset win at East Stroudsburg. Helped the Marauders clinch the third seed in the PSAC East. Played 39 minutes while shooting 9-16 from the field and perfect from the free throw line. Added five rebounds and four assists to her stat line. She has now started in nine straight games and scored in double figures in nine straight games. |

Shatara Parsons

Harrisburg, Pa. / Central Dauphin
Parsons recorded a pair 30-point games and two double-doubles last week, as Cal U finished the regular season with a pair of divisional victories. She averaged 30.5 points, 10.0 rebounds, 2.5 blocks and 4.0 steals per game in wins over Seton Hill and Clarion. Parsons scored 30 points behind 13-of-21 shooting from the floor on Wednesday in a 68-54 victory against the Griffins. She also added 10 rebounds (six offensive), two assists, three blocks and six steals while playing 39 minutes. Parsons then closed the regular season with 31 points, 10 rebounds, two blocks and two steals in a 73-50 win on Saturday. |

Nolan averaged 11 points and five rebounds for the Griffins in their two games last week. She scored eight points and had five rebounds in 12 minutes of play vs California. The freshman scored a career-high 14 points and added five rebounds vs IUP. She shot 67% from the floor. |

California: Cal U secured the third seed in the PSAC Tournament during the last week of the regular season with divisional wins over Seton Hill and Clarion. The Vulcans also remain in contention for a NCAA Tournament selection as they continue to be slotted sixth in the latest Atlantic regional rankings. Senior Shatara Parsons closed the regular season with a pair of double-doubles, scoring at least 30 points in each contest. She became the first player since All-American guard Brooque Williams in the 2009-10 campaign to score at least 600 points in a single-season. Parsons has scored at least 30 points in five games this year and totaled nine double-doubles during the regular season. The Vulcans start play in the PSAC Tournament on Monday when they host Slippery Rock in the first round.
Gannon: Gannon concluded the regular season with a three-game win streak, posting a perfect 2-0 record last week with home victories against Clarion (73-50) and Slippery Rock (60-50) … the Lady Knights set season-highs in assists (22) and three-pointers (12) against Clarion … sophomore Julia Braungart had a career-high seven rebounds against the Golden Eagles … Gannon completing a seven-game overall improvement from last season with its victory against Slippery Rock … the Lady Knights moved their season free-throw percentage to 79.2 percent which currently ranks as the best in program history … the program's current single-season record is 77.4 percent during the 2008-09 campaign … Gannon entered the weekend with the second-toughest schedule in NCAA Division II … past opponents had produced a 369-248 combined record, winning 59.8 percent of their games … the Lady Knights held their opponent below 60 points for the third consecutive game and 10th time this season … Gannon reached double digits in steals for the second time this season with 11 … Slippery Rock's seven assists were the fewest by a Gannon opponent since Mercyhurst matched that number during a 65-62 Lady Knight victory on January 20, 2016 at the Mercyhurst Athletic Center … Gannon won by double digits for the third consecutive game and sixth time this season … the Lady Knights recorded at least 16 victories for the fourth time in five seasons under head coach Jim Brunelli … Gannon completed its second consecutive season sweep of Slippery Rock, winning for the 29th time in the last 32 meetings … the Lady Knights improved to 36-11 all-time against the Rock, including a 22-4 mark at the Hammermill Center … Gannon improved to 15-1 when scoring at least 60 points … senior Maggie Mitchell's 453 points are now the 18th-highest single-season total in program history … she ended the regular season with a 90.8 free throw percentage (89-98) which currently sits just ahead of the program's single-season record of 90.1 percent (82-91) set by Carrie Nolan in 2009-10.
