Mercyhurst Grabs PSAC Men's Tennis Title

BLOOMSBURG, Pa. --- Mercyhurst won a second consecutive Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Men’s Tennis Championship with a 5-1 victory against PSAC West opponent Edinboro.
 
The Lakers improved to 16-2 on the season and the Fighting Scots dropped to 10-9. The Lakers won last year's matchup between the two teams, 5-4. 
 
Nenad Terzic, Ruairidh Fraser, Cormac McCooey, Unai Amiletta, Sebeastian Pardo and Luke Veseclic were all the singles competition victories.
 
Edinboro’s duo of Kevin Mboko and Mauricio Santos won 9-7 while Mercyhurst swept the last two other doubles competition matches. Singles wins were recorded for Mercyhurst by Fraser, McCooey and Veselic as Nos. 2, 3 and 6, respectively.
 
Mercyhurst's Terzic was named Tournament MVP.

Both schools currently rank in the regional rankings with MU at No. 3 while EU is No. 4.
