Head Men's Cross Country and Track & Field Coach
Cheyney University of Pennsylvania seeks qualified applicants for the position of Head Men’s Cross Country & Track and Field Coach. Reporting directly to the Athletic Director, the Head Coach is responsible for Men’s Cross Country and Indoor & Outdoor Track. Other duties and responsibilities include development of team cohesiveness which reflects the pride of the university. Recruit and assess student athletes with academic background and talent needed to be competitive in a NCAA Division II program within the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC). Must abide by all NCAA rules and regulations.
Additional duties include, but are not limited to: develop and coordinate workouts for the men’s team; maintain participation numbers; coordinate logistics of cross country and track meets hosted by the university; develop, monitor and reconcile budget; schedule meets; oversee award of athletic scholarships; manage facility requests, work orders and team travel advances; coordinate activities of part-time and volunteer coaches; coordinate program fundraising and community service; promote a positive public relations program; work closely with Sports Medicine for prevention and care of injuries; serve as liaison with other sport groups, both internal and external.
A Master’s degree required with a minimum of 3 years experience as an Assistant Coach on D-1 or D-2 level or, bachelor’s degree required with one of the following:
• Minimum of 5 years experience as a fulltime Assistant Coach on D-1 or D-2 or,
• Minimum of 5 years as a D-3 Head Coach or,
• Minimum of 8 years as a Head Coach in high school or club level or,
• Athletic participation as an Olympian or National Team member will be considered in lieu of experience
Successful candidate will also have experience in recruiting and training all conference, all state and national qualifiers; coordination and participation in camps and clinics; demonstrated community service participation and strong computer skills.

Working Title: Intern – Football Operations
Reports To: Head Football Coach, Assistant(s) Football Coaches, Internship Supervisor
Primary Function: C.W. Post-Long Island University, an NCAA Division II program and an Associate Member of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) are offering five (5) internship positions in football operations.
Including, but not limited to:
• Secure all football facilities associated with all practices and games
• Supervision of game day coordination for football team home games
• Set up the sidelines for all football home games and supervise field maintenance
• Assistance with team orientated office work
• Serve as the contact for all visiting teams
• Filming of practices and coordination of film exchange
• Equipment maintenance
