California's Jutta Bornefeld and East Stroudsburg's Katie D'Ambrosia registered solid play, earning accolades as the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Athletes of the Week in Women’s Tennis.

Since joining the team in the spring semester, Bornefeld leads the Vulcans in singles wins in 13 dual matches this spring. While playing at four different singles positions, the freshman has compiled a 12-1 record with five victories coming against Division I opponents. She primarily plays at No 4 singles where she has posted an impressive 7-1 mark with her only loss coming in a match at Ohio State. In a match against No. 1 Armstrong Atlantic, Bornefield posted a thrilling 4-6, 7-6, 10-4 victory over the 15th-ranked player in Division II. Bornefeld has also combined for a 6-7 mark while playing all three doubles positions with four different partners this spring.

D'Ambrosia went 3-2 at No. 2 singles and 5-0 at No. 1 doubles during East Stroudsburg's spring break trip to Hilton Head, S.C. While there she helped lead East Stroudsburg to a 3-2 record on the trip, upping the team to 6-4 for the entire this season. This year D'Ambrosia has posted an 8-5 record in singles and 11-3 record while playing in doubles. D’Ambrosia and doubles partner Jamie Ferrigno have posted a 37-18 career record while playing together and are two-time All-PSAC East players.
