PSAC Lacrosse Athletes of the Week - 2

Lock Haven, Pa. - East Stroudsburg’s Molly O’Hara and Slippery Rock’s Amy Halls are this week’s PSAC Lacrosse East and West Players of the Week, respectively, after each led their respective teams to 2-0 records in the first two games of the season. The duo compiled a total of 19 goals last week. 


PSAC East Player of the Week
Molly O’Hara, East Stroudsburg
Junior, Attacker
Glen Mills, Pa./Penncrest

O’Hara recorded seven goals in games for the Warriors last week, both wins, which came by a combined total of three goals. She also tallied a total of three ground balls and two draw controls. In a 14-13 overtime win over Queens (NC), she scored four goals, including the game-winner 30 seconds into overtime, and had two ground balls and one draw control. In an 11-9 win over Belmont Abbey, she notched three goals, one ground ball and one draw control.


PSAC West Player of the Week
Amy Halls, Slippery Rock
Sophomore, Attacker
Westerville, Ohio/Olentangy

Halls recorded 12 goals and two assists in two wins last week for Slippery Rock and her performances put her at the top of the NCAA leaders in both goals and points through two games. She also recorded five draw controls and caused four turnovers on the week. In a season-opening 15-9 win over Converse, Halls scored a career-high nine goals, including the game-winner. The nine-goal effort in the opener ranks as the second-most goals scored in a single game in Rock history. She then notched three goals and two assists in a 22-2 win over Erskine. Her 12 goals for the week bring her career total to 69, which moved her into fourth place in school history in just one year and two games.
