Lock Haven, Pa.
- A total of four PSAC schools finished in the top 20 in the final 2009-10 standings of the NACDA Learfield Directors' Cup. The four schools in the top 20 marks the most ever for the PSAC in the history of the Directors' Cup, which has been in existence at the NCAA Division II level since the 1995-96 school year. Additionally, California finished second in the standings behind only champion Grand Valley State. The second place finish for the Vulcans is the best ever for a PSAC school, surpassing California's eighth place finish two years ago.

The Vulcans have now finished in the top 10 in the standings in each of the past three seasons, finishing in ninth place last year. IUP finished in 13th place this year, Kutztown placed 16th, while PSAC Dixon Trophy winner Shippensburg came in 18th to round of the four PSAC schools in the top 20.

Prior to this year, the most PSAC schools to finish in the top 20 in a single year was three back in the 1998-99 school year when Shippensburg finished 11th, Bloomsburg 14th and Edinboro 19th.

The NACDA Directors' Cup is awarded each year to the top athletics program in each NCAA Division and the NAIA. Began in 1993-94 for NCAA Division I, the program was expanded in 1995-96 to include both NCAA Division II and III and NAIA. Each institution is awarded points in a pre-determined number of sports for men and women based on finishes at each respective NCAA tournament or event.

The NACDA Directors' Cup is currently sponsored by Learfield Sports and is given out annually by the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA). The Division II Cup includes finishes in 14 sports, seven men's and seven women's.
