Catapulted by individual champion Amanda Teodorsson and by placing all five of its individuals in its lineup in the top 10, Gannon held on to its first round lead and carried it over through Sunday to win its first PSAC women's golf championship at the Hershey Country Club East Course.

The title snaps California's three-year hold on the women's golf championship, which debuted as a PSAC championship in the fall of 2008, as the Golden Knights become the first team other than the Vulcans to win the PSAC women's golf championship. It is also Gannon's third PSAC team championship since the Golden Knights joined the PSAC in 2008-09. It's men's basketball team won the PSAC title in the school's first year in the league in 2009 while it's women's basketball squad also won the PSAC title in 2010.

Teodorsson, who led the field by two strokes after a first round of five-over 76 on Saturday, fired a final round six-over 77 on Sunday, one of four 77s shot on Sunday, tied for the lowest of the round. She won the individual title going away by five strokes over teammate Bhanisha Nagindas and Maria Lopez of California, who tied for second at 16-over 158. The Vulcans' Dianne Luke came in fourth at 17-over while Gannon's Kiersten Klekner-Alt and California's Kim Thomas tied for fifth at 18-over. Mercyhurst's Andrea Novoa finished alone in seventh, four strokes behind the duo tied for fifth, and Mercyhurst's Caitlin Kempton and Gannon's Saskia Merz and Kelly Nickerson rounded out the top 10 in a tie for eighth place, one stroke behind Novoa.

In the team standings, the Golden Knights shot a team total of 319 on Sunday to win the tournament by 13 shots over the second place Vulcans at 66-over 634. California shot the low team round of the day with 318 on Sunday but it was not enough to overcome the 14-shot deficit after the first round as the Vulcans finished at 79-over 647. Kutztown finished a distant third at 669 while Mercyhurst came in fifth, 20 shots behind the Golden Bears. West Chester, Clarion, East Stroudsburg and Millersville rounded out the team standings. The Marauders competed for the first time as a team at the PSAC women's golf championships. In just their second year as a varsity program at Millersville, the Marauders had three team members compete at last year's championship at individuals, as four team members are needed to fill out a starting lineup and compete as a team.
