Edinboro’s Chris Honeycutt has been named the PSAC Wrestling Athlete of the Week for continuing his undefeated season and earning the number one spot in the national rankings.

This weekend, Honeycutt defeated two nationally-ranked wrestlers and remain undefeated at 24-0. He beat 20th-ranked (Amateur Wrestling News (AWN)) Matt Ryan of WVU, 5-2, and then dominated 19th-ranked (InterMat) Max Thomusseit of Pitt, 11-2. Ryan came in at 16-5 and Thomusseit at 24-9. Now having an 83-18 career record, Honeycutt has moved into the top spot in the national rankings this week for InterMat and AWN. He was previously ranked No. 1 on WrestlingReport.com
