Lock Haven Earns Third Straight PSAC Lacrosse Championship

Lock Haven held off a furious West Chester comeback, including stopping two shots from close range in the final minute and the Lady Eagles held on for a 10-9 win over West Chester to win their third straight PSAC championship. Lock Haven's Allison Berger was named the tournament MVP after notching 13 points in the Eagles' two games.

Gwen Buss and Jessica Pandolf each scored three goals for Lock Haven while Berger led the way with four points on two goals and two assists. Goalkeeper Heather Sacko made eight saves, including two key stops in the final minute with Lock Haven nursing a one-goal lead and on a 4-0 run. Tori Dugan scored three goals for the Golden Rams while Devon Lotkowski had two goals and Shannon Hayes dished out two assists.

West Chester jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first 10 minutes of the contest before Lock Haven scored seven straight goals beginning at the 18:13 mark on the first half and ending at the 19:51 mark of the second half to take a 7-2 lead. West Chester was held scoreless for nearly 32 minutes before Dugan broke the dry spell at the 18:49 mark to cut Lock Haven's lead to 7-3. From that point, the teams traded goals down to the 8:57 mark when Elyse Fisher's score made it 10-5 in favor of the Eagles. From that point, however, West Chester scored four straight goals to make it a one goal game before being held off in the final minute.
