Kutztown, Pa. – For the second consecutive season the Lock Haven and Kutztown women's swimming teams joined forces to a host a Pancreatic Cancer Awareness meet, which helped raise money and awareness for the debilitating disease that affects so many.
Both teams wore a special edition purple and white swim cap in their dual meet on January 21 and accepted donations throughout the meet. All proceeds collected were donated to the American Cancer Society.
The awareness meet began last year, when the teams elected to hold the event in in honor of Kim Sianis, the mother of Kutztown swimmer Zoe Sianis, and John Terray, the father of Lock Haven swimmer Amanda Terray.
