California's Huegel Named PSAC Men's XC Champion Scholar

Kutztown, Pa. - California's Morgan Huegel has been named the recipient of the PSAC Champion Scholar Award for the men's cross country championship. 

The PSAC Champion Scholar Award, begun during the 2011-12 academic year, is modeled after the NCAA's Elite 89 award and honors the student-athlete with the top grade point average who is competing at the site of each of the PSAC's 23 team championship finals. The selection criteria for the Champion Scholar Awards is identical to that of the NCAA Elite 89 awards, which honor the student-athlete with the top GPA at each of the championship final sites of the 89 NCAA championships across all three divisions - I, II and III. 

Huegel is a junior studying mathematics. He holds a 4.0 grade point average and has completed 62 credits. The Cranberry native attended Cranberry High School. Huegel's Player Profile
