Moyer Sports Complex. The Golden Bears (37-22) took a season-high 14-game winning streak into the national title game against the Bronchos (51-11). It was the first time in school history that Kutztown had competed in the championship game after advancing to the semifinals for the first time last season. Despite the setback and disappointment of not coming home with a championship trophy, the Golden Bears closed out a remarkable and record-breaking season on Monday. Moyer Complex. The Golden Bears (37-21) have won 14 games in a row and will be playing in their first national championship game in school history. Kutztown is 3-0 in the NCAA Championships this season and remain undefeated in postseason play at 12-0. Kutztown will play the 19th-ranked University of Central Oklahoma (50-11) on Monday, May 27 at 12 p.m. Both teams are undefeated in the NCAA Championships as Monday's game will be a winner-take-all single game. Neither team has won a national championship in their program's history. The Golden Bears advance one round further than they did last year. In Kutztown's first trip to the NCAA Championships last season, it went undefeated leading up to the semifinals, but went on to drop two games to the eventual national champions in Valdosta State. This year, however, Kutztown did not stray from taking advantage of their opportunity at a national title. Moyer Sports Complex. The Golden Bears (36-21) advance to the semifinals of the national softball championships for the second straight year. They will play next on Sunday, May 26 at 2:30 p.m. against a team to be determined (Texas Woman's, Molloy, or Grand Valley State). A win would advance KU to the national championship game on Memorial Day at 12 p.m., and a loss would have Kutztown play Sunday night at 7:30 p.m. Kutztown won its 13th consecutive game including all 11 in the postseason as both teams entered Friday evening's game with an extended winning streak. Moyer Sports Complex. With the win, the Golden Bears advance to the second round and will play on Friday, May 24 at 6:30 p.m. against the winner of Texas Woman's and Humboldt State. Texas Women's and Humboldt will play at noon on Friday, May 24 as the game was postponed due to thunderstorms in the area. Kutztown is now a 12-game win streak and is a flawless 10-0 in postseason action. This season, the Golden Bears have knocked-off two national ranked opponents with wins over No. 7 California (Pa.) and No. 9 Grand Valley State. Kutztown Wins Atlantic Super Regional Box Kutztown, Pa. - With a 2-1 victory over West Chester on Saturday the Kutztown softball team will advance to the eight-team NCAA Division II Softball Championship final site. The Golden Bears were scoreless until they were able to post two runs in the bottom of the fourth inning. Left fielder Maria Isgro was today's hero with a one-run triple to drive-in Katie Lynch. Isgro later scored on a wild pitch. West Chester did manage to respond with a single run in the top of the fifth, but was unable to score the six runners the team stranded on base. Kutztown will now play the Midwest Super Regional winner on May 23 at 5:00 p.m. at Moyer Complex in Salem, Va. The Golden Bears notched five runs in the sixth inning highlighted by a three-run Nicole Henninger homerun over the left field fence. With a win on Saturday, the Golden Bears would advance in the NCAA Championship tournament. California will play host to the Atlantic Regional One tournament with the first round of games kicking-off on May 10.
