PSAC WEEK TWO GAME NOTES

PSAC QUICK HITS


LET THE CROSSOVERS BEGIN

• Saturday marks the first of three PSAC crossover dates this year. In addition to this week, crossover play will occur on October 5, and November 16. 

• In 2012, the East and West each won 12 games across the three crossover dates. In the last five seasons, the West has tallied 70 wins to the East’s 64. The last time each division won 12 games was in 2009. 

NO MATCH FOR THE PSAC

• PSAC teams went 9-5 against non-conference opponents last week. PSAC teams outscored non-conference foes 385-363. Prior to the divisional set-up changes for the 2013 season, the PSAC went 42-32 in regular season non-conference action from 2008-2012, including a 42-26 record against Division II opponents. 

• On NCAA Division II opening day, Thursday, September 5, the PSAC went 9-1-1 across all sports in non-conference play. East Stroudsburg, Edinboro and Gannon each clinched Thursday night football victories for the PSAC. 

390+ PASSERS AND 100+ RUSHERS

• Three PSAC quarterbacks notched over 390 passing yards last week, while four rushers were over 100 yards. Leading the passing game was Slippery Rock’s Nigel Barksdale with 465 yards, while Gannon’s Jansen Jones was the PSAC’s top rusher with 218. Gannon quarterback Liam Nadler passed for 398 yards, while Alec Werner of Kutztown threw for 394. Bloomsburg’s Franklyn Quiteh rushed for 182 yards, while teammate Dai’Shon Munger and De’Antwan Williams of IUP both recorded 135.
