GANNON WOMEN TAKE PSAC GOLF
Hershey, Pa. – Gannon women's golf clinched the program's second ever PSAC Women's Golf Championship crown with a team score of 648 (+80) on Sunday at the Hershey Country Club.
The Lady Knights were led by Banisha Nagindas, who shot a tournament-low score of 74 (+3) on Saturday followed by an 81 (+10) on Sunday to combine for a 155 (+13). Nagindas was second overall individually. The 2013 title marks Gannon's second since winning the championship in 2011.
Defending PSAC Champion California took second place with a team score of 650. The Vulcans were led by a 159 (+17) performance by Rachel Lim. Kutztown placed third at the championship with a team score of 659 (+91). Madison Beer led the Golden Bears with a 163 (+21).
Seton Hill's Morgan Miller clinched the individual title with a score of 154 (+12) and led her team to a tie for fourth alongside Millersville with team scores of 665 (+97). Miller clinched a 76 (+5) on day one followed by a 78 (+7). While Nagindas took second, there was a two-way tie for third. Both coming in at 158 (+16) was Mercyhurst's Gaelin Carrig, the tournament's Champion Scholar, and Amanda Teodorsson of Gannon.

MILLERSVILLE MEN EARN FOURTH-EVER PSAC TITLE
Hershey, Pa. – Millersville men's golf took home the 2013 PSAC Men's Golf Championship title on Sunday at the Hershey Links golf course after edging California by two strokes.
Winning the title snapped a six-year championship run by IUP, and clinched the Millersville's fourth PSAC title in program history. The Marauders shot a combined 593 (+17) during the 36-hole tournament. Conor Gilbert was the tournament's Individual Medalist with a two-day score of 143 (-1). Gilbert shot an even 72 (0) on day one and a 71 (-1) on Sunday. Robert Rowe came in third overall and second on the Millersville team with a 145 (+1).
California was just two strokes behind with a 595 (+19). Jordan Eck led the Vulcans with a 146 (+4).
IUP and West Chester tied for third place with team scores of 597 (+21). Zack Kempa took second place overall with an even score of 144 (0). The Golden Rams were led by Andrew Patterson with a two-day mark of 147 (+3).

WOMEN'S RECAP: DAY ONE
Hershey, Pa. – Gannon women's golf shot a combined 323 (+39) to rank atop the PSAC after the first day of competition on Saturday in the 2013 PSAC Women's Golf Championship held at Hershey Country Club.
Bhanisha Nagindas led the Lady Knights with a round one low score of 74 (+3). Nagindas currently leads the championship field of 43 golfers. Amanda Teodorsson finished second for the Knights with a score of 78 (+7).
Currently in second-place and just one stroke behind Gannon is PSAC newcomer Seton Hill with a combined team score of 324 (+40). Seton Hill was led by Morgan Miller with a mark of 76 (+5).
Mercyhurst is in third with a score of 327 (+43) and was led by Gaelin Carrig with a 78 (+7) mark.
The final round of the championship will begin at approximately 8:09 a.m. on Sunday at hole one on the East Course at the Hershey Country Club.

MEN'S RECAP: DAY ONE
Hershey, Pa. - Millersville men's golf is three strokes ahead of the pack after day one of the 2013 PSAC Men's Golf Championship held at the Hershey Links.
The Marauders combined for a 293 (+5) score to edge West Chester (296) by three strokes. Rob Rowe led Millersville on day one with a round one low score of 70 (-2). Rowe currently leads the championship field of 40 men's golfer with his two-under par performance. Conor Gilbert was even on the day with a 72, while Jon Heile was third for the Marauders with a score of 75 (+3).
Ryan Fogel, who went even on the day with a 72, led West Chester ,while teammates Zachary Boe and Andrew Patterson each notched a score of 74 (+2).
Third place and defending PSAC Champion IUP is currently in third with a 298 (+10). Zack Kempa shot a team-low 73 (+1), while Kenneth Sames was one stroke behind with a 74 (+2).
The final round of the championship will begin at 9:00 a.m. at hole one at the Hershey Links.

PREVIEW STORY
Hershey, Pa. – The PSAC Men's and Women's Golf Championships will take place in Hershey, Pa. this weekend. Nine women's teams will compete for the PSAC title on the Hershey Country Club East Course, while eight men's teams will play the Hershey Links Course.
Both the men and women will complete 18 holes on both Friday and Saturday to make-up the two-round tournament. Tee-times are scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m. on both Friday and Saturday, with all golfers starting at the No. 1 hole.
California claimed the 2012 women's title to mark the program's fourth PSAC crown. The Vulcans finished the tournament with a combined team score of 618 (+50), besting second-place Gannon by 23 strokes.
Gannon's Bhanisha Nagindas is the top returner from the 2012 championship, as she took third overall with a 155 (+13) score. The Lady Knights also return Amanda Teodorsson, who took fourth a season ago at 156 (+14). California's top returner is Cara Vanderham who tied for seventh at the 2012 championship and finished fourth amongst the Vulcans with a 162 (+20) mark.
IUP has earned the past six PSAC Championship men's titles, while also winning 26 PSAC crowns in program history. The Crimson Hawks return the 2012 Individual Medalist Zack Kempa, who shot four under par on the Links Course a year ago to win the individual title with a combined two-day score of 140 (-4).
The California men's team took second place a season ago with a combined scored of 585 (+9), finishing 18 strokes away from IUP's 567 (-9) team score.
Millersville's Robert Coyne will return to the Links after finishing tied for third in 2012 with a score of 142 (-2). Coyne tied returners Jordan Eck of California and Jack Owen of IUP.
