Lock Haven, Pa. – Edinboro’s Mitchell Port has been named the PSAC Wrestler of the Year, as voted by the league’s Division I and II head wrestling coaches. Pitt-Johnstown’s Tyler Reinhart is the PSAC Freshman of the Year, while Edinboro’s Tim Flynn is the PSAC Coach of the Year for the fourth straight season.

Port, the 2015 NCAA Division I runner-up in the 141 pound title match, became a three-time All-American this year. As the No. 2 seed, Port won his first four matches in the national tournament before falling to Logan Stieber of Ohio State. Port’s second trip to the finals in three years helped Edinboro earn its highest finish ever at the Division I Championship, placing third. The senior finished his 2014-15 season with a 36-2 record that included 13 falls, two technical falls, nine major decisions, and his fourth PSAC individual and team championship. The Fighting Scot concluded his career with a 132-17 record, tied for eighth in career victories at Edinboro. Port is now a two-time recipient of the PSAC Wrestler of the Year award, as he also received the honor in 2013, and the 18th Edinboro athlete to be honored.

Reinhart capped the 2014-15 season with a 19-7 overall record at 165 pounds that included nine decisions, three major decisions, two technical falls, and three pins. The freshman captured fifth at this year’s PSAC Championship, earning a 2-0 decision over Ian Shannon of Millersville in the final match. He went on to compete at the NCAA Division II Championship and posted a fourth-place finish in the 165 pound bracket. The Greensburg, Pa. native is the first PSAC Freshman of the Year from Pitt-Johnstown since the Mountain Cats joined the conference in 2013.

The 2014-15 season marks the 13th time Flynn has earned the PSAC Coach of the Year title during his 18 seasons at the helm of the Edinboro program. This season Flynn guided the Fighting Scots to their ninth PSAC crown in the last 10 seasons, and their 15th with Flynn as head coach. The Scots finished third at the NCAA Division I Championship, marking the highest finish in school history. Flynn, also the EWL Coach of the Year, is the all-time winningest wrestling coach in Edinboro history with a 198-73-5 overall record.
