Results

The Slippery Rock women fell to West Virginia St. in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament, 5-2.

SRU won at No. 2 (Amanda Bruscemi/Nina Barbano) and No. 3 (Stephanie Fortier/Kylee Woodman) doubles.

MEN

No. 6 Mercyhurst defeats No. 3 West Liberty, 5-4
Results

Tied 4-4, Joaquin Aguilera earned the match-clinching win at No. 2 singles in dramatic fashion. He won 7-6 (4), 7-5.

Mercyhurst also won at No. 1 doubles (Travis Beck/Nenad Terzic), No. 2 doubles (Conor McCooey/Andoni Marquez), No. 5 singles (Marquez), and No. 6 singles (Ross Molinaro). 
 

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The NCAA Men's and Women's Tennis Tournament fields were announced on Tuesday night, and two men's teams and four women's teams from the PSAC qualified for postseason play.

On the men's side, Edinboro, fresh off of its third straight PSAC Championship, will host on one side of the region. The Fighting Scots will take on the winner of Mercyhurst, the sixth seed, and West Liberty, the third seed. Edinboro defeated Mercyhurst in the PSAC Championship last weekend.

In the women's bracket, the PSAC scored four out of the five top seeds. California, the top seed and winners of 10 consecutive PSAC Championships, are the top seed in the bracket. Hosting on the other side of the draw is IUP, who is the second seed and PSAC Runner-up. Mercyhurst is the third seed and Slippery Rock is the fifth seed.
