Wrestler of the Week:
8392 Andy Schutz
Bloomsburg (Sr.)

Schutz went a perfect 4-0 for the week at 133 pounds earning a victory over Indiana in a dual on Thursday night before claiming the 133-pound title at the Army West Point Black Knight Invitational on Sunday. On Thursday, Schutz earned a 4-0 decision over Indiana's Garrett Pepple during the Huskies' 19-18 loss to the Hoosiers. Seeded first, Schutz then went a perfect 3-0 on Sunday to win the 133-pound bracket at Army. He opened with an 8-3 decision over Army's Lane Peters and then posted a 12-9 decision over Rutgers' Alex Mackall in the semifinals. Then, in the finals, Schutz earned a 9-2 decision over Lock Haven's DJ Feldman, the second seed, to win the bracket. Schutz is now 10-2 on the season.

Women's Swimmer of the Week:
8387 Silvija Taraska
Gannon (Fr. / Sprint Freestyle)
Wickliffe, Ohio / Lake Catholic

Taraska earned wins in the 50-yard freestyle (24.47) and 100-yard freestyle (53.70) Saturday at the Case Western Quad Meet last Saturday. It was the third meet this season that she won both events. Her time of 53.70 in the 100-yard freestyle is a career-best. 

Men's Swimmer of the Week:
8388 Colten Long

Long broke a 12-year old IUP record and scored in all 10 events he competed in this weekend at Cleveland State's Magnus Cup. Long broke IUP's 100 breaststroke mark with a PSAC qualifying time of 55.82. He also took home first place in the 50 breaststroke with a time of 25.03. In all, Long finishing in the top 12 in six individual events and top 12 in four relays. He tallied four PSAC qualifying times.

8389 Imani Brown

Lake Hopatcong, N.J. / Jefferson

Brown led the team in points (20.7) and rebounds (9.3) per game in a 3-0 week which included a pair of PSAC wins over the weekend. ESU was the only East school to go 2-0 against its Western division opponents. The senior had the ninth and 10th 20+ point games of her career in wins over Holy Family (27 points) and Clarion (24 points) to start the week. She had 21 points in ESU's season opener, making her the first Warrior player in eight years to score 20+ points in three-straight games. Brown produced double-doubles in each of ESU's conference wins. Her 11 rebounds in Sunday's win at UPJ matched a career-high. She had 11 made 3-pointers last week to surpass the century mark for her career.

Jones droppe a career-high 28 points at Edinboro on 9-of-11 shooting and had five steals against a team that is unbeaten this year. She notched 13 points and three rebounds to go with a pair of assists on Saturday against Slippery Rock.

Buffalo, N.Y. / Cardinal O'Hara

Walton helped Edinboro to a 3-0 record this week, as she averaged 20.7 points, 5.7 assists, 3.7 3-pointers and committed a 13-3 steals to turnover ratio. The 5’5” redshirt junior guard started the week off with a career-high 26 points against Wheeling Jesuit, and nearly ended the weekend equaling her career-best with 25 points in a win over Shippensburg. The Fighting Scots are 5-0 on the season for the first time since the 2011-12 campaign.

Trest posted her fourth double figure scoring effort of her freshman season as she scored 14 points in each of the PSAC crossover matchups this weekend. In the win over Lock Haven, she just missed a double-double with 14 points and nine assists. She also added six rebounds and four steals in the win.

West Chester went a perfect 3-0 this week with victories against Chestnut Hill, Gannon, and Clarion. Long registered 58 points and 22 boards in the trio of wins for the Golden Rams, two of which were in conference action. Against Chestnut Hill, Long tallied 14 points in addition to six boards. The Golden Rams continued their winning streak with a 52-44 win over host Gannon. as the senior added 14 points, nine boards, and three steals. In a 91-84 victory over host Clarion on Sunday, Long posted 30 points to go along with seven boards, two steals, and a block.

8401 Ethan Ridgeway

West Chester, Pa. / Bayard Rustin

Ridgeway averaged 31 points per game in Kutztown's 2-1 week. He shot 45.5 percent from the field, made 8-of-13 3-pointers and 25-of-26 free throws to lead KU offensively. He also dished out a team-high 16 assists. His week was highlighted by a 40-point effort at California (PA) on Saturday, KU's first 40-point scorer since 2010. He opened his week with 23 points at home against the Sciences, and followed with 40 at CAL in 39 minutes of action, while making all 10 of his free throws. The next day at Slippery Rock, he scored 30 points and made all 11 of his free throws while handing out nine assists. He has made 23 consecutive free throws.

Rodriguez scored 15.5 ppg in his first 2 career games, shooting 61.1 percent (11-for-18) from field and 56.3 percent (9-for-16) from long distance. He also had 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 steals in 40 minutes (20.0 mpg). Rodriguez had 17 points (6-11 fg, 5-10 3's) in 113-71 win at Clarion in season opener. 14 points (5-7 fg, 4-6 3's) in 99-88 win at UPJ on Sunday. All-State 3rd team (6A) selection at Father Judge as a senior. 1st team All-Catholic League, 2nd team All-Philadelphia, averaging 19.7 ppg (1,260 career points).

8402 Anthony Coleman
Edinboro (Jr. / G)
Wickliffe, Ohio / Willoughby South

Coleman led Edinboro to a pair of PSAC crossover wins, and was the leading scorer in both games. He scored a career-high 30 points in 88-86 upset of No. 8 Shippensburg, the first EU win over a ranked team since 2014-15. Coleman scored Edinboro's first 17 points in the game and had 23 at the half. The junior made his first seven shots, six of them 3-pointers. He scored on layup to cap 7-0 run and give Edinboro 87-82 lead with 32 seconds left. Coleman had team-high 23 points in 85-74 win over Millersville on Saturday. He gave Scots the lead for good with 3 with 4:37 left for 69-66 lead.

8403 Jacobo Diaz

Canary Islands, Spain / CBA Gran Canaria

Diaz helped the Crimson Hawks to a 2-0 conference opening weekend, capped off with the game-winning tip-in as the buzzer sounded in Sunday's 83-81 overtime win over Bloomsburg. Diaz scored a career-high 30 points against the Huskies and grabbed a season-high 14 rebounds to post his third double-double of the year. He went 9-14 from the floor and 10-10 from the foul line in 39 minutes.For the weekend, "Cobo" averaged 24.5 points and 10.5 rebounds, converting 66.7 percent (16-24) from the field and 13-13 from the charity stripe with five steals.

Magestro impressed with a 20-point performance in a win against Bloomsburg. The freshman addded fives assists and a rebound in the contest. He followed suit with a 10-point outburst against East Stroudsburg while tallying a steal.
