9484 VOLLEYBALL CENTRAL DIVISION ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Brehl produced a team-high nine kills in 3-0 loss at #21 Gannon on Friday. The senior had a match-high 22 kills with 12 digs and three blocks in 3-1 win at Mercyhurst on Saturday.

Samspson continues to produce high offensive outputs for 21st-ranked Gannon.Gannon became the first team to clinch its division and a berth in the conference tournament. The freshman had 14 kills, four digs and five block assists in a 3-0 home sweep of UPJ (10/19/18). She followed it up with a career-high 16 kills against Shippensburg (10/20/18). Sampson added 13 digs, three block assists and a career-high 19.5 total points against the Raiders. She helped Gannon become the first team this season to defeat Shippensburg in straight sets.

Predojevic became the sixth Warrior in program history to reach 2,000 career assists during a 3-0 win at IUP on Saturday. The senior totaled 66 assists overall across ESU's two matches, with 33 in each contest. She added four kills (.444%), eight digs and a pair of aces on Saturday, as the Warriors defeated IUP for the first time since 1981.

van Shaik averaged 5.00 kills per set and totaled 37.5 points over the weekend, as the Vulcans earned a pair of home wins in league crossover play. She tied her career high of 22 kills while posting a .413 hitting percentage and added six digs and two blocks on Friday in a 3-0 win over Millersville. The following day, van Shaik tallied 13 kills on a .235 clip and collected seven digs and three blocks in a 3-1 victory against West Chester. The 6-foot-1 senior has tallied 22 kills in a match twice in the last four matches.
