Gannon's Garrett Sutton Repeats as Men's Cross Country Champion Scholar

EDINBORO, Pa. --- Gannon senior Garrett Sutton has been named the PSAC Men’s Cross Country Champion Scholar, the league announced Saturday following the PSAC Cross Country Championships on the campus of Edinboro in Edinboro, Pa.

He is the first men's cross country athlete to win the award in consecutive seasons since IUP's Alexander Hampel (2014-15).

The selection criteria for the Champion Scholar Awards is identical to that of the NCAA Elite 90 awards, which honor the student-athlete with the top GPA at each of the championship finals sites of the 89 NCAA championships across all three divisions – I, II, and III.
 
The Gallitzin, Pa., product and Penn Cambria graduate has accumulated 100 credits towards his biomedical engineering degree while boasting a perfect 4.0 grade point average.
