BRACKET RELEASE
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. --- No. 9/10 West Chester, No. 21/22 Kutztown and No. 25 Slippery Rock were selected to participate in the NCAA Division II Football Championship, the NCAA announced Sunday afternoon.
 
Twelve first-round games will be conducted on the campus of one of the competing institutions. In addition, one team per super regional has earned a first-round bye. The first-round winners will all advance to the second round with games on the campus of one of the competing institutions. Second-round winners will meet in the quarterfinals at various campus sites. Quarterfinal winners will advance to play in the semifinals on the campus of one of the competing institutions. Seven teams selected per super regional make up the field of 28 teams. 
 
All three PSAC teams will play Saturday, Nov. 17 at 1 p.m. 
 
WCU is one of three undefeated teams in Super Region 1 and claimed the No. 3 seed in the region and will play host to New Haven (8-1). The Golden Rams claimed the PSAC title Saturday with a 33-10 victory against SRU. WCU quarterback A.J. Long was named MVP of the contest. Longrushed for 144 yards on 30 carries with a touchdown while using his arm to go 13-for-21 for 153 yards and three TDs. 
 
WCU is playoff bound for the 15th time and for the third time since 2013. The Golden Rams defeated Shippensburg in the first round last year before falling to IUP in the second round. Coach Bill Zwaan’s squad ranks No. 1 in offense (39.3 ppg) and defense (14.7 ppg).
 
KU swiped the No. 4 seed in the region after posting a 9-1 record. The Golden Bears are postseason bound for the third time and first time since 2011. KU will serve host to Hillsdale (9-2).
 
KU quarterback Collin DiGalbo is one of five PSAC signal callers to have over 2000 passing yards while accumulating 13 touchdowns. The Golden Bears sit second in the league in scoring offense with 39.2 points per game. Defensively, KU will be paced by punter Dean Krcic. Krcic leads the league in punting average at 42.7 yards per punt. 
 
SRU earned the No. 7 seed in the region and makes its ninth appearance in the NCAA Championship. The Rock makes their first appearance since 2015. Coach Shawn Lutz’s squad will travel to No. 13/13 LIU Post (10-0). The Rock scored 38.6 points per game; which is the third best in the PSAC. 
 
SRU running back Wes Hills averages 133.9 rushing yards per game while quarterback Roland Rivers tosses 236.9 yards per game. 
 
The championship game will be played December 15, at 4 p.m. Eastern time at McKinney ISD Stadium in McKinney, Texas and will be broadcast live on ESPNU HD/ESPN3.com.
