FINAL RESULTS
EDINBORO, Pa. --- Shippensburg won the 2018 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Women’s Cross Country Championships at a wet Doug Watts Cross Country Course on the campus of Edinboro in Edinboro, Pa.
The race was a 6K and had 174 participants.
The Raiders won their ninth team title and first since 2016 after accumulating 71 points. SU placed five runners in the top 25 while sophomore Natalee Serwatka paced the team with a sixth-place finish with a time of 24:14.
California senior Alicia Belko won the individual title with a time of 23:20. It marks the second consecutive championship that a Vulcan was crowned. Vulcan senior Alyson Pierce finished second with a time of 23:53.
Belko was named the PSAC Women's Cross Country Most Outstanding Runner at the event.
Edinboro finished second in the team standings with 75 points while boasting four of the top 17 runners. Sophomore Hope Pietrocarlo paced the Fighting Scots with a time of 24:18 and finished seventh while senior teammate Abbey Lang was eighth in 24:20.
SU sophomore Isabella Marchini finished ninth while freshman Kaylee Mowery was 12th.
Cal finished third as a team with 111 points while Seton Hill and Lock Haven were fourth and fifth, respectively.
The NCAA DII Atlantic Regional will take place Saturday, Nov. 17 in Pittsburgh, Pa.
