Slippery Rock's Henry Litwin Earns PSAC Football Champion Scholar Award
SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. --- Slippery Rock sophomore Henry Litwin has been named the PSAC Football Champion Scholar, the league announced Saturday afternoon prior to the PSAC Football Championship Game in Slippery Rock, Pa.
Litwin is the first SRU representative to win award since Jake Myers (2013).
The PSAC Champion Scholar Awards are modeled after the NCAA's Elite 90 award and honor the student-athlete with the top grade point average who is competing at the site of each of the PSAC's 23 team championship finals. The selection criteria for the Champion Scholar Awards is identical to that of the NCAA Elite 90 awards, which honor the student-athlete with the top GPA at each of the championship finals sites of the 90 NCAA championships across all three divisions – I, II, and III.
The Linesville, Pa., product and Conneaut Area graduate has accumulated 61 credits towards his degree in safety management while boasting a 3.607 grade point average.
