Virginia State) Mercyhurst 5, West Liberty 0 MU Recap Box Score INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. --- Three Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference representatives were selected to participate in the NCAA DII Women's Tennis Championship, the NCAA announced Tuesday evening. Seven teams total were selected from the Atlantic Region. IUP (19-5) won the PSAC Championship and was awarded a No. 1 seed in the tournament. Mercyhurst (22-2), the PSAC runner up, was selected as a No. 3 seed and Slippery Rock (13-12) claimed a No. 5 seed. IUP's Luise von Agris was named PSAC Tournament MVP. The Crimson Hawks will represent the No. 1 seed in the Atlantic Region I while SRU will be playing No. 4 Charleston (WV) (17-6) in the first round. MU will be the lone PSAC school in the Atlantic Region II. The Lakers will have a first round date with West Liberty (12-7). No. 2 West Virginia State (12-8) and No. 7 Shaw (21-2) will meet on the opposite end of the bracket. Preliminary-rounds will be played April 28 – April 29 at on-campus sites. Advancing teams from each site will advance to the finals, May 8 - 11, at Surprise, Arizona. The Pacific West Conference and the City of Surprise will serve as hosts. Atlantic Region 1.
