FOOTBALL EASTERN DIVISION OFFENSIVE CO-ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Collin DiGalbo

Kutztown's offensive line didn't allow a sack to quarterback Collin DiGalbo all game Saturday, helping DiGalbo post career numbers in KU's win over California (PA). He completed his first 15 passes to finish 20-for-26 with 256 yards through the air. On the ground, DiGalbo made monumental plays throughout the game to the tune of 133 yards and two touchdowns, including a 52-yard scamper down the sideline, breaking his own school-record for rushing yards in a game by a quarterback. He has rushed for two touchdowns in each of his first two games this season and has 16 for his career. |

Jaymar Anderson

Anderson ran for 239 yards and tied a PSAC record with 6 rushing TD in 41-34 win vs Seton Hill. He scored all 6 Warriors TD, becoming 5th PSAC player with 6 rushing TD. 239 yards are 4th-most in school history. Anderson cored 4 TD in 4th quarter (12 carries, 59 yards) as ESU rallied from 27-13 deficit. He had a 28-yard run for go-ahead TD with 5:08 left. Turned in a 49-yard TD in 2nd quarter. Also scored from 1, 1, 4 and 5 yards. It marked his 2nd career 200-yard rushing game, and 7th 100-yard game, in 12 starts. Anderson missed opener at #8 Ferris State due to injury. The senior ran for 1,046 yards in 2017, leading PSAC East with 95.1 ypg, to earn 1st team All-PSAC East honors. |

FOOTBALL EASTERN DIVISION DEFENSIVE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Tyler Emge

Blandon, Pa. / Fleetwood
Emge accumulated 11 tackles and a key interception in SU's win over Slippery Rock. His interception came early in the fourth quarter that thwarted a SRU drive. The Rock had the ball at SU's 11 while leading 14-12 before Emge snagged a pass and returned it to the 50. The Red Raiders would score three plays later. He tied for team lead in tackles in the game. |

FOOTBALL EASTERN DIVISION SPECIAL TEAMS ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Brendan Paulison

Milford, Pa. / Delaware Valley
Paulison punted seven times on Saturday and averaged 46.7 yards per punt in West Chester's 31-7 win over Gannon. He put two inside the 20-yard line and hammered a career-long 67-yarder. His punting prowess forced Gannon to work with poor field position all day. In fact, the Golden Knights never crossed midfield following a WCU punt until the fourth quarter. |

FOOTBALL WESTERN DIVISION OFFENSIVE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Lenny Williams

Williams completed 9-13 passes for 120 yards and 3 touchdowns in just one half of play to help the 4th-ranked Crimson Hawks to a 41-7 win over Millersville in their Thursday night home opener. Williams added 29 rushing yards on five carries for 149 total yards on 18 total plays. The senior threw TD on first pass of night - a 60-yarder to Dom McNeil - and had scoring tosses of 14 yards to JoJo Gause and 8 yards to Miles Williamson in the first half. Three of his five rushes went for first downs; five of nine completions were first downs. It was Williams second 3-TD game of the season and 10th 3-TD passing performance of his career. He now has 85 career touchdowns, three short of the IUP all-time record of 88 held by Brian Eyerman |

FOOTBALL WESTERN DIVISION DEFENSIVE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Sam Fareri

Fareri factored into three turnovers on Saturday in helping Clarion to a 30-21 road victory at Lock Haven. He finished with just six total tackles but played a major part in the game in other ways, namely by robbing the Bald Eagles of the ball. After Clarion took a 7-0 lead in the first quarter, he intercepted Cameron Tobias' first pass attempt of the following drive; on the ensuing possession, the Golden Eagles tacked on another touchdown to take a 14-0 lead. He halted the next Lock Haven possession with a forced fumble, knocking the ball out of Ethan Persa's hands after the Bald Eagles reached the red zone. Fareri set up Clarion's first touchdown of the second half as well, intercepting Persa in Golden Eagle territory. The Golden Eagles scored on the resultant offensive drive and the gave was never tied again. |

Gregory gave Edinboro the lead for good in a 21-16 win at Bloomsburg with a 90-yard kickoff return for a touchdown. It is his third career kickoff return for a touchdown, which ties the school record. He returned 2 kickoffs for 121 yards. The junior wide receiver has now moved into second place in career kickoff return yards with 1,405. Gregory also caught 3 passes for 28 yards. |
Game Notes:
Bloomsburg: The Bloomsburg University football team dropped a 21-16 decision at home against Edinboro on Saturday afternoon to fall to 1-1 on the season. It was the 11
th meeting between the two schools with Edinboro now leading the all-time series, 7-4. Senior Hakeem Sillman posted his second consecutive 100-yard rushing effort as he finished with 20 carries for 104 yards. Sillman also caught a pass for eight yards and had three kickoff returns for 56 yards to finish with 168 all-purpose yards. He currently leads the PSAC in all-purpose yardage with 432 through the first two weeks of the season. Redshirt sophomore quarterback Erik Benjamin rushed for a pair of one-yard scores and now has posted back-to-back weeks with two touchdowns on the ground. He threw for 173 yards but was picked off three times. Redshirt senior Dexter Jordan recorded two interceptions for the third time in his career in the loss. They were his first two picks of the season and now gives him 10 for his career. The Huskies allowed a 90-yard kickoff return to Ta’Nauz Gregory midway through the first quarter – the first kickoff return allowed for a score since September 27, 2014 against Shippensburg. The Huskies will travel to Mercyhurst next Saturday, September 15, in the team’s first road contest of the season.
California: Cal U suffered a 34-31 loss at Kutztown on Saturday, as the program has now lost its opening two games this season by a combined eight points. Quarterback Noah Mitchell set the freshman school record for single-game passing yards, finishing with 418 yards on 26-of-40 attempts with two touchdowns. The total ranks as the sixth-most overall passing yards in school history. The Vulcans featured a pair of 100-yard receivers for the first time since Week 5 of last season. Junior WR Chad Livingston set career highs with 163 receiving yards and two touchdowns while making seven catches and sophomore Tyson Hill finished with eight receptions for 113 yards, both career highs. Livingston made an 84-yard touchdown reception to mark the longest catch by Cal U since the 2015 season. The Vulcans and Golden Bears both finished with the same amount of total offense - 489 yards. Cal U holds a 0-2 record to start the year for the first time since 2009.
Clarion: Clarion is now 1-1 on the season… the win over Lock Haven was Clarion’s first road win since Sept. 24, 2016 against Mercyhurst… the Golden Eagles intercepted six passes on Saturday, the most in a single game since before 1999… the Clarion defense also forced a fumble for a total of seven forced turnovers on the day… in addition, fullback Maverick Kelsea forced a fumble on what was a Lock Haven interception to regain possession for Clarion, marking eight total turnovers… Mylique McGriff rushed for 65 yards and also recorded 76 receiving yards for a total of 141 all-purpose yards… McGriff is averaging 139.0 all-purpose yards over the first two games… Marcus McCoy had four catches for 53 yards and two touchdowns, his first career multi-touchdown game… Jovante Seard entered the game at quarterback in the second half, going 8-of-12 for 126 yards and a touchdown… James Metzgar is a perfect 3-for-3 on field goals on the year, adding a 24-yarder on Saturday… the win was the 400
th victory in Clarion history.

R-So. QB Ben Moser was 16-for-29 for 226 yards, and ran for 36 ... Sr. WR Jylil Reeder (3 catches, 76 yards) is off to a strong start, with 10 catches for 160 yards (had 13 for 125 in 2017) ... R-So. TB Devante Robinson had 7 catches for 72 yards, and 4 carries for 33 yards ... R-Sr. FS Billy Inge III had key interception and 56-yard return to set up ESU's 4th TD of 4th quarter.
Edinboro: Edinboro improved to 2-0 with a 21-16 win at Bloomsburg that was fueled by strong defense and special teams play. The Fighting Scots forced four turnovers, had a pair of sacks, and held the Huskies to 327 total yards. On special teams, Ta’Nauz Gregory returned a kickoff 90 yards for a touchdown and the Fighting Scots partially blocked a punt. The win was the first over Bloomsburg since 2007 … Gregory now has three career kickoff returns for touchdowns, which ties the school record. He has moved into second place in career kickoff return yards with 1,405 … Walter Fletcher had his second straight 100-yard effort in 2018. The second-leading rusher in Division II in 2017, Fletcher finished with 147 yards on a career-high 33 carries, including a one-yard touchdown run. He moved into sixth place in career rushing with 2,538 yards, and he is now tied for sixth in career rushing touchdowns with 27 … Edinboro’s other score came on its the first drive of the game, with Andrew Tomko tossing a 22-yard TD pass to James Clark. Clark caught 3 passes to move closer to setting the career receptions record. He now has 175, 20 shy of breaking Darren Massey's record … after leading Division II in interceptions with 9 last year, Zuril Hendrick came up with his 15th career interception. That moves the senior cornerback into a tie for fourth place … the defensive effort was led by linebacker Trey Hall, who had a team-high 10 tackles, 2 for losses, and intercepted 2 passes.
Lock Haven: A narrow and rain-soaked 30-21 loss to Clarion spoiled the LHU football team’s 2018 home-opener during Week 2 action (Sat, Sept. 8). The two teams combined for 13 turnovers in a wild PSAC crossover contest. Redshirt-freshman QB Ethan Persa made his Bald Eagle debut and at times looked quite impressive. He finished with 213 yards and two TD passes (7-for-19, 4 INTs). The Bald Eagles’ defensive unit kept Lock Haven in the game. They finished with four interceptions, two forced fumbles, a fumble recovery, seven tackles for loss and one sack. Leading the way was Obadiah Asare who made a game-high 12 tackles. He had eight solo stops and 2.5 tackles for loss. Redshirt-sophomore defensive back Donate Mason made history for the Bald Eagles with three interceptions. His three interceptions tied the LHU single-game school record and he also had six tackles, including five solo stops. Lock Haven’s home-opener Saturday marked the grand re-opening of Hubert Jack Stadium and marked the first game on the new turf field which was installed last spring. With the loss, Lock Haven fell to 0-2 (0-2 non-conference, 0-1 away, 0-1 home) and the Bald Eagles will host nationally-ranked IUP next week.
Millersville: Millersville out-gained No. 4 IUP 378 to 319. Millersville also totaled more first downs (19-18). For the second time in four career starts, quarterback Collin Shank threw for over 300 yards. He totaled 331 yards and threw a touchdown pass. Redshirt freshman Chris Dolan became the first Marauder freshman since 2014 to total 100 yards receiving. He made a career-high 10 catches for 137 yards and made his first career touchdown catch. It was the most yards by a Marauder receiver since Kevin Wiggins totaled 144 yards on Oct. 8, 2016. Kobe Miranda totaled a career-high 19 carries and also hit a career high in yards with 62. Evan Morrill made a season-high four catches. Morrill has caught a pass in nine consecutive games. Xavier Jenkins' 81 yards receiving were a career high. Millersville completed two passes of 42 yards or longer. Trejon Dinkins made 12 tackles for the second week in a row. It is the second consecutive season that a Marauder has recorded double-digit tackles in each of the first two games (Sean Dugan in 2017). Zach Button made his first career interception. Kendle Pitts' two pass breakups were a career high. Cameron Boykin has had a TFL in each of the first two games.
Seton Hill: SHU dropped a PSAC crossover matchup at East Stroudsburg 41-34 . . . SHU led 27-13 after three quarters but gave up 28 fourth quarter points in the loss . . . The loss is the 16th straight for the Griffins . . . Ryan Barabe finished 18-41 for 326 yards and 2 TDs . . . Cinque Sweeting ran for 118 yards and a TD and also caught a TD pass . . . Logan Wiland finished with 84 yards and 2 TDs . . . Ardell Brown had 6 catches for 139 yards . . . Kinan Humphrey added 4 catches for 121 yards and a TD . . . SHU will play their home opener next Saturday when they host West Chester
Slippery Rock: A week two loss by SRU marks the earliest loss for the program in the last six years as SRU had won at least its first two games of the year in each of the last five seasons ... SRU had won at least its first three games in each of the last four years ... both SRU and Shippensburg were receiving votes in the national poll this week ... Saturday's game featured five lead changes in the second half ... SRU lost starting running back Wes Hills, who ran for 164 yards in week one, on just the second play of the game with an upper body injury ... SRU then lost starting QB Andrew Koester at halftime to an injury ... SRU later lost starting defensive tackle Wilford Clark to injury ... backup QB Taylor King made his debut at SRU by passing for 335 yards in the second half alone ... SRU was just 1-for-4 in scoring points in the red zone and got no points on two separate possessions in the second half in which they had first and goal inside the 10-yard line ... SRU missed three FGs in the game, marking the worst kicking performance from a FG standpoint in the last three years ... Carnel Harley (137 yards), Henry Litwin (133 yards) and Austin Scott (80 yards) all had career-highs in receiving yards ... SRU entered the game leading the nation in tackles for loss, but had just 3.0 TFL and no sacks on the day ... Shippensburg sacked SRU QBs five times in the game ... SRU turned the ball over five times (two fumbles, three INT) and Shippensburg turned it over three times (two INT, one fumble) for a total of eight turnovers in the game ... SRU drops to 40-22-2 all-time against Shippensburg ... the two teams have now alternated wins in each of the last nine meetings dating back to 2002.
